Discussion of the year, i am a mental health and psychiatry nurse . I'm happy that people are coming out and speaking about mental health, kudos maaannn!! Let's end the stigma.
People are so evil. No humour at all. " walk tall and proud for nothing. Mr. Strong.,lawyer I salute you and may God bless you and give u strength. You are so smart You are a hero. Don't give up.
It is good for people living with mental disorders to speak openly. I wish you grace and thank you for speaking openly about your diagnosis. Hopefully, someone watching this who is struggling with this mental disorder or any other will find the courage to get help and live their lives.
I hadn't met or heard about this learned friend. Legal career can be a trigger by itself. Sometimes you understand better when you wear the shoe. For that reason I urge that we support him. Cry for help doesn't always look like what we know. It can be a huge smile on the face. Good job wakili and all the best
Don't ever be afraid of telling people who you are. You have chosen the best way and lwt this be the start of your success. I would definitely want to see you in person. Am in Sweden and having many members of the family
The message/ story in this video is very inspirational. Kudos to Samuel Ochieng for a job well done. The titles, however, are off-putting and can increase the stigma he is working so hard to fight. @tuko there should be a better way to communicate mental health issues.
A tough experience indeed. I remember when i got admitted to a mental hospital, going back to work, the gossips, whispers and discrimination was real but the only option i had was to remain strong and work hard, actually I delivered more than before. Sometimes people provoke you so that they can see how you'll react.
Oooooh now I understand why he reacted very negative on me sometimes back cz I used to be his wife teacher.Nimekusamehe juu nimeelewa shida Yako ilikuwa wapi.
Iam also battling Bipolar mix with Shizofrenia since childhood, i was married for 8 yrs but during manic Episode i cheated on my husband several times i got divorced. After that i went to a Psychiatrist 2021 and he diagnosed me with Shizoaffective disorder this is 50% Bipolar and 50% Shizofrenia thank God iam taking Medication and i can notice some changes the Symptomes have reduce but right now i have a Psychotish Episode and iam take another Medication. It's a battle for real but i know we are many hata mimi nikikua sawa i will start a TH-cam Chanel for more education
Title of the story is stigmatising. Mental illness is real. The patients need patience love encouragement from caretakers who help them identify trigers and reassurance. Talk with them to overcome those illusionary thoughts that cause manic actions. Above all, commitment to God helps one to calm down in the spirit. Be strong wakili. God is with you.
Now I think that guy of tongaren who thinks he's jesus is also suffering from this condition and he doesn't know even his followers also doesn't know 😢
Most people with mental health issues are actually geniuses. I know several smart people who hold high level jobs, are well educated but have a mental health condition. Most cannot sustain employment or relationships. Its like a double edged sword
Bipolar disorder is a common mental health disorder in the diaspora and the lack of mental awareness in Africa along with the stigma prevent many from coming out to speak about it resulting in delaying treatment and support. This is great and I admire your courage in finding coping strategies that are key to promoting recovery. Early intervention on the onset of the illness is vital and one can live a normal life.
The title though lacks empathy.....Sam's story is motivational & a success. That all you should have credited him...success after long struggle with bipolar disorder....I don't understand why even the "learned" fall in this trap of sexualizing everything.
Kenyans, please engage this guy . Fellow lawyers with firms please subcontract him. He is a hero and has sacrificed to educate people on mental health. May God stand and restore you professionally Sam.
Great job wakili for educating people who doesn't know about bipolar hopefully some people who didn't know have learned stigma is bad. Wish you al the best .
You are soo strong, despite going through mental health...you are lucky enough cos you are learned, so taking medication you know what it means ..in your life...cos majority of this mental illness are not reversible but can be controlled....
Nothing is impossible with God... God lives... Pray fervently ,believe and don't underestimate the power of God ,He will heal you... Together in prayer...
How about we come together and champion for schools to give a reprieve to students with medical issues so that they’re given more chances to redo courses and skip classes when in manic episodes
It's a shame that people with mental illness are stigmatized, mean while it's not any different from cancer, malaria, and any other diseases. Kudos to Mr. Ochieng for perseverance and obtaining his law degree 👏 🙌 please stop the stigma and support mental illness, reduce cost on medication, and support those who can't afford it.
I hope he gets more clients as he is brilliant! He needs a partner who understands this condition and they will be happy. God bless you and enlarge you Sir.

You ought to be of sound mind to be able to speak about your own mental illness, just like Samuel Ochieng.

Sometimes it’s hard to differentiate between a Narcissist and someone with bipolar disorder especially when dating. Their behaviours are kinda similar
The signature of a narcissist is that they have no capacity for empathy.
Nop Narcissist is a character while Bipolar is a disease.
They are not the same, narcissist is a character, while bipolar is disease, totally different.
