    Congratulations to all Kavan Team.
I've been flying the Kavan Swift S1 for 3 months.
I knew the previous version of the Pulse from seeing it fly in my club. I hope that this brand new v2 will further increase and improve the capabilities and flying comfort of its predecessor.

However Kavan Team, I have a question about the connection card.
How can you separate the (2+2 AILERONS and FLAPS) control surfaces on 4 reception channels (these are classic advanced settings used by experienced pilots to activate the Butterfly function or the differential, for example).
      Rgds. To read you

@@JPh35 Hello, and first of all thank you. To control them independently, you have to bypass the connection board with two splitting reduction cables.

@@jdsd_ hello. This pulse at 2.2kg for 220cm seems a bit heavy to me, even though Kavan's video seems to show that it's lively in flight. Owners of the Pulse v1 all boast of its aerobatic qualities for a price/quality ratio that was unbeatable (€270). The v2 has gone up to 340€, with the quality of its servos - the v1's weak point - being highlighted. Everyone will have to make up their own minds. We'll have to wait for the ‘Maiden’ videos and articles in the press to get an idea of the new qualities of this v2.
Personally, I've been flying a Swift S1 since the beginning of 2024, a model that also has aerobatic qualities.
A Pulse wouldn't really complement my squadron (made up of MPX EasyGlider/FMS ASW-17/KVN Swift S1). I think I'd rather complement it with a 3m EPO glider.

Hello Kavan team! I want to get into acrobatic gliders, so i was thinking about buying your Swift. Now that the new Pulse is out, im wondering what the differences are.... both models seem quite similar to one another, only that the Pulse is a tiny bit smaller and has flaps. Ive read that motor/ ESC/ propeller etc are the same. Since they are both acrobatic gliders, are there other differences, maybe in overall performance/ wing profile etc? Which one would you recommend for acrobatic flying?

    • @kavanrc
      @kavanrc  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

We cannot decide this for you, but here are some thoughts:
      1) Scale appearance - the Swift is a nice (semi)scale model of the Polish aerobatic glider, whilst Pulse is just a „sporty“ motor-powered glider. So, if you prefer a scale look, the Swift will be the one.
      2) Scale flying - the Swift pretty much flies like a full-size aerobatic sailplane; the Pulse is closer to the motor-powered aerobatic plane flying style.
      3) Aerobatic performance - actually there is no BIG difference, however, the Pulse is more agile and manoeuvrable, the wilder one.
      4) Slope flying - both models are very good slope gliders; however, the flaps of the Pulse make landings easier.
      5) Thermalling - the thermal gliding performance of the Pulse is quite good, however, the Swift is better.
      6) Please, do not forget both models feature EPO carbon-reinforced airframe - it can take a lot, but not everything. No way you can expect the performance and durability of all-moulded models. But they are a good introduction to aerobatic flying, indeed. We hope this was of some help. 😎

@@kavanrc Thanks for that amazing, detailed answer, that helped a lot indeed!! I already have a few "simple" motor powered gliders that dont really fly scale, so I guess ill go for the Swift! Im looking for an introduction to the world of acrobatic gliders without spending 2k on a carbon fibre model. I guess the Swift is the right choice. Thanks again for your help! :)
