My favourite Bullseye moment was during the opening interview. Lad was talking about how his wife had died 6 months before and the darts helped him cope, conversation got really grim. As he was walking away after Jim looked at the camera and said “what a character!”
There's another really great bit where he asks a fella what he does for a living and the guy says he's unemployed and Jim says "Super smashing great!". He was some boy.

Best one was where the winners had like 600 quid and prizes. 2nd place had 540 and both turned down the star prize. Scottish pair had 80 quid and won the rover metro. Sprinting about the studio shouting 'YAAAASSSSSS'
an episode of Bulleseye became central in a multiple murder case. Psychopath John Cooper appeared as a contestant on the show in between when he murdered two couples. Footage was used to identify him and he also mentioned something about the location of one of the murders in his interview with Jim.
i always thought that you obviously could have two good dart throwers but it was taken as read that if a fella was proficient with the arrows he was obviously a drunk who had never learnt to read or write properly and as such would not be able to identify a foto of leon brittan or spell the word proficient...so you would have no chance of winning unless the darter brings the one guy from work who read the latest dick francis novel during lunch hour

Ah Bullseye. Was it Sunday afternoon fodder? My mam and uncle would sit through it, together, and I was commanded to be there too. Hell. Hell. To be bored smooth by something so parochial and inane whilst there was stuff, waiting to be climbed up, outside. Oh my God - I wanted to be dead. I wanted to not be sentient any more. No - we had to watch Bullseye together while we digested our dinner. Possibly even more hellish than Catchphrase as it revolved around extremely dull, but salt of the earth, people throwing darts while a predominantly BNP audience bayed for blood.

Had to sit through it because Sundays were when my mother's brother (Colin - that's an 'uncle' option) came for dinner - and he just loved Bullseye. Had to sit, deathly silent, and watch it. Clockwork Orange type thing. Not allowed to even sigh. Rest of the week - my mother liked to watch hard hitting or artsy stuff on 2 or 4 (where I learned about who I would be). It must have been excruciating for her, too, but she never flinched once. She loved her brother so much. We're not 'victims', Nigel. We're 'survivors'.
Those people shouting gamble were plants in my opinion. Absolutely nobody around them is bothered what they do. I've been watching too much of the old mans streams, im getting paranoid.

When I was a kid I went on loads of holidays in a caravan.
My uncle was a runner on this show and he said that Jim Bowen was always scratching his baws and his dressing room hummed a farts. True story.
