    My cat would hide under the bed when we had company. After a while, when he realized that no one was being killed, he'd come out and introduced himself and everybody loved him.

      @@TheArmchairCatAdvocate sadly, he died in 2018 at the age of 20. He was a great cat. I still miss him.

    A little socialization would help that situation completely.

      I understand what you're suggesting about socialization and I do agree. However, it's a bit complicated, because he was born and spent the first few months of his life outside. His first experiences with people were not all positive. So, I'm not going to force him into a situation that makes him even more fearful and traumatized. But, thank you for the suggestion. ❤
