I'm being very tempted to buy one at my dealer for $68,900 DEMO with 4900 miles on it!! Same color too. The MPGs on other competitors are better. My 22 MDX Advance has an expired leased (I'm currently on a 6 month extension until Feb 2025) has been totally Trouble Free for over 3 years. Just change the oil, and rotate the Tires and wave Bye Bye as I drive by the Dealer. I'm not so sure one can do that with BMW and Audi. I have yet to drive it, but it is "winking" at me. The new refreshed upgardes on the 25 with the new Touch screen InfoT. system is a big deal. The TTIP touch pad in mine is a PIA requiring a Learning curve to use. That was a mistake that Acura realized - but took 3 years to correct. If they bring back thier former (2018-2020) Sport Hybrid MDX - that would be a Huge Winner.
old mdx sport hybrid had 330hp, say 7, and still got 28+mpg i would love to see that system make a return with this new v6 tubo would be great way to get 400hp and still get better than 21mpg lol
@@Mr21scott Not anymore. Between the GR Corolla's tendency to catch on fire, the latest gen Tundras being prone to having their engines blow up, and the Grand Highlander being pulled from sale entirely because of faulty airbags and crumple zones Toyota isn't doing too hot these days. Neither is Honda, frankly; their 1.5T engine is prone to oil dilution and head gasket failures. Honestly if you want truly reliable, the way cars from 10+ years ago were, your only real option these days is a miata.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but this sounds better than its TLX counterpart. It sounds more aggressive and has an almost “NA” growl to it reminiscent of previous J series V6’s.
I thought the Audi's were much easier to use than Mercs and BMW'S... Unfortunately the new audi's have huge screens and little buttons as well... the Germans are going haywire!
I know 'the internet' (and even Topher/SubT) talk about how complicated iDrive 8 is, but man it's such a non issue to me IRL. It's hard to even describe it just because everything works so well and the only thing I occasionally ever touch is the temp from 70 to 74 or something. It's super easy and works great in my opinion.
Hey man, i like the fact that you dont music, yet you make video very appealing. I make night povs checkout and give any suggestions to improve. Thanks
I've had this car for under a year and absolutely love it. However, the front right axle has broken twice. Hopefully Honda/Acura provide some type of extended warranty on it. Other than that, and the terrible gas mileage, its an incredible vehicle.
Traded a 2024 CX-90 Turbo S for new 2025 MDX Type S 4 weeks ago. CX-90 is a great vehicle for the money. I was looking for more comfort on the highway, though, and love the adaptive air suspension on the MDX Type S, but can change to sport mode on the MDX for aggressive driving through the turns if you wish. The balance of the 2025 Type S -- ride, acceleration, and handling - is top notch. Also enjoy the MDX Type S 31 speaker stereo system -- incredible. Interior noise of MDX quieter than the Mazda. Easy to use touch screen interface new for 2025 with MDX. In my view, the 2025 MDX Type S is worth the extra $$ compared with the (excellent) CX-90.
I say Honda and Acura have the best lane keep assist system. You can use it without using cruise control. I see the 25 mdx got a touch screen instead of the touch pad. So now the wireless charger is in an open area instead of being underneath the palm-stand for the touch pad.
Audi Q7, BMW X5, Mercedes GLE are all similar in price. I couldn’t justify almost $80k for an Acura. Yes I know you Honda meat riders will reply and say “wEll ThE AcUra is mOre reLiaBle” yes I know, but at the end of the day it’s just not on the same level as the Germans.
Imagine if they only sold this type S with a manual transmission. If you want the sporty one you gotta get the manual, it would be such a sweet sports car mashup of a practical SUV and the engagement of 3 pedals
2:30 Looks nice 4:00 NO HYBRID (Late to tech as usual) 7:00 Overweight at 4700+ lbs 11:00 Delay off the line 15:55 Standard MDX a better buy (lighter, better MPG) 18:00 Another 50HP, better MPG and a spare tire away from greatness Gas guzzler at 17/21, super late to touchscreen game. TYPE S will depreciate FASTER than a regular Advance mainly due to overpricing and abysmal MPG. Badly needs a hybrid optoin to stay competitive. Otherwise CX-90 and Grand highlander will eat into its sales.
GH is nowhere near as nice and top trim is still 4 cylinder only. you're probably thinking of TX CX90 is cheaper but the MDX is way more usable if you care about using the 3rd row on your 3 row SUV
yeah but the x5 still gets way better mpg, and that's not considering the PHEV option the x5 has if you drive a big SUV daily your fuel costs add up quickly , and that means more time at the pump too
X5 is such a better car, more power, better handling, more luxury and german prestige that is missing from american made acura. at the same price it is a stupid buy
Honda Acura show power of the brand. The product is now mid at best in the price point. Like modern democrats people still think their is a correlation to what was, when what it is... is very different.
I love the MDX and the TypeS especially, but it makes me annoyed that they don't give it just a little more power. The slowest X5 is still faster than the MDX TypeS 🥲
This is exactly why I just went ahead and got the naturally aspirated V6. Why didn’t they Turbo charge the 3.5 L V6? Why use a smaller V6 engine? There’s no way there for $70,000 that the type of Acura MDX shouldn’t have close to 400 hp.
Don’t know why, but I absolutely love the look of that steering wheel. Just perfectly effective and elegant.
what a car man, finally you did a pov drive on this
He literally did one 3 months ago. I am confused why he is back with it again. Edit: I see that DailyMotors reviewed it.
Would love to see you guys review a regular MDX eventually, been a while since your original video

Wow, 3 whole years with no problems lol?
You can find a low mile Type S starting in the high 40s. The depreciation on these is unreal.
How are you all affording these payments

❤ love Acura. Especially new A-spec TLX
It's quite difficult to find reliable vehicles nowadays...
What are you talking about? Practically every Toyota made is super-reliable, just to name ONE company. There are lots of others.

An easy to operate vehicle would definitely be my pick over something unnecessarily fancy like the new BMW's.

The pilot is still a good choice. 👌

I would get the non S model with all the interior kit.
why are there ads 1 minute in😭
