Do you know what I LOVE about this arrangement? How Lindsey's goal wasn't to show off her crazy talents that we all know she has. She put a seemingly invisible yet beautiful addition in the background.. letting the vocals take obvious lead. The violin fit perfectly and seamlessly in to the melody. Playing an instrument takes a lot of time to learn, but it's worth it, I can tell. I've been learning piano since I was 5. Sometimes I felt like giving up, but Im 17 now and I'm happy I haven't given up.

I like the violin with the piano alone. Or the vocals accompanied either by the piano or the violin. The three together didn't mesh very well for me. Not saying it sounded bad. This song is incapable of sounding bad

This is so much better than the original. I think in Johns video they had speed boats and being stuck in a kitchen, Lindsey's setting is more romantic with the fairy lights and night time skyline, Also, I like how they shoot in one location and the camera is shooting outside the fence, it feels like it's their own private intimate world.
most music videos these days are pretty inane and add nothing to the experience. Lindsey is the few exceptions, her videos and music are both great. John didn't have a bad video, think both are good.
In my honest opinion I don't think she added anything, nor took away, from the video itself. However the original showed a few intimate moments between him & his wife. Whereas in this it's a nice backdrop & a good duet. In my opinion the original video was more fitting.

Lindsey is different and to be different is hard. It usually doesn't pay well in the short term, but it pays very well in the long term in so many ways beyond money allowing for legacies to be made but she needs to repackage her gift in other ways. Idk, I just see marketing opps that I haven't seen her do yet (movie acting, voice acting in Disney, music singles violen meets Eworking with Opera, Bally, and Orchestras, assisting in movie score productions, etc. Her worth is 8 mil but it should be so much more. vocal artists make all the great money which is weird since most people don't really listen or know the lyrics of most songs and some people don't even know the name of their favorite songs so why are vocals compared to instrumentals so important?

I just love this John and Lindsay version. It just hits every emotional button in me from feeling tearful and sad yet at the same time feeling passionate about love and life. There’s no other vocal and instrumental piece that brings so many thoughts and feelings together. There can’t be anyone who doesn’t feel something when there here this beautiful tune. I do. This is so much better than the original. I think in Johns video they had speed boats and being stuck in a kitchen, Lindsey's setting is more romantic with the fairy lights and night time skyline, Also, I like how they shoot in one location and the camera is shooting outside the fence, it feels like it's their own private intimate world.

most music videos these days are pretty inane and add nothing to the experience. Lindsey is the few exceptions, her videos and music are both great. John didn't have a bad video, think both are good.
In my honest opinion I don't think she added anything, nor took away, from the video itself. However the original showed a few intimate moments between him & his wife. Whereas in this it's a nice backdrop & a good duet. In my opinion the original video was more fitting.

It usually doesn't pay well in the short term, but it pays very well in the long term in so many ways beyond money allowing for legacies to be made but she needs to repackage her gift in other ways. Idk, I just see marketing opps that I haven't seen her do yet (movie acting, voice acting in Disney, music singles violen meets Eworking with Opera, Bally, and Orchestras, assisting in movie score productions, etc. Her worth is 8 mil but it should be so much more. vocal artists make all the great money which is weird since most people don't really listen or know the lyrics of most songs and some people don't even know the name of their favorite songs so why are vocals compared to instrumentals so important?

I just love this John and Lindsay version. It just hits every emotional button in me from feeling tearful and sad yet at the same time feeling passionate about love and life.
