Big up k with the channel, the nostalgic feel of these videos give me goosebumps. I can actually visualise their stories. Love these vlogs man! FUME next please!
i have great memories with this guy , we started NHS together with a few others up in brum in Easter 87 , got arrested a bunch of times together ... top guy , timeless classic days .......
Zom is the undisputed king of London. The guy was the link between the older boys and the DDS younger that come through in 95/96. This guy was killing it as rate and fiza before way before DDS. In terms of suggestions.. Try bring Oker GSD on. He is one of the most undernamed artists in London.. He doesn't get the recognition just because he wasn't DDS or PFB and wasnt from London... Can't forget that guy has been absolutely smashing longer than anyone else in London.
I respected Oker and loved his work growing up, but his recent antics have really made me (and most of London) lose respect for him. The guy is not right in the head and he has turned against most London writers. He now has no friends except a couple of shit writers who think they're hard. Tbh I shouldn't even be writing Okers name on a zomby video... Its disrespectful to zomby (true King of London)
I Loved this interview Zombies work is beautiful one of the best. I have to say in my humble opinion Fume was the best though in DDS. I grew up in west London and seeing Fume, Teach, Zomby, Touch, Plug, Cosa, is really nostalgic. It would be awesome to get Fume on this show.
Remember the Northwick Park bridge. The supreme team was first to hit it around 85-86. Kast was with them (haze) , it was his manor. Buntlak was the paint to rak back then, quality stuff from art shops
King RATE .. fiza .. zombie .. saw he's rise with my own eyes , us lot looked to him massively, him sham 59 and kof had a massive spree in the mid 90s , we used too try and get up like them guys ... massive respect . .. yeah we all started on the buses , South East London crew strong .. number 3 bus , 157 , 196 , 68 , 2 , .
Sub, Diet, Bosh, Figs, Teach, Fume, Rate, Zombie, Cos & Tox were all writers I looked up to from 92/3 onwards. Another legend was Sham 59, from DTB. TKS (Total Kaos), DDS (Diabolical Dubstars), PFB (Pure Fire Bombers) & DTB (Drop The Bomb) were the crews everyone wanted to be a part of.
Zom. Straight real talk.. met him at the battle of waterloo... was a inspiration at 14 to me as he was for many more. The urban feel of a graffiti aristist for me from 1993 to 2004.. racking and the missions... they dont kno.. byt then again this guy has paved the way.. for the next gen... who kno cant use words like kings and toys...
LOL at Steas! 23:01 I remember when I was 17 years old in 2002 me and my best friend Eaz / Kong (RIP) bought paint from Steas and met him at some tube station somewhere (I think Old St) and he came on his bike with a bag full of tins and we ended up talking behind the back of some dive bar for like an hour. At the time we were terrified from hearing stories of DDS and were paranoid we would get robbed based on all the stories we had heard. Lolol. But Steas was proper cool and nothing like that ever happened. Good days!
Haha sick u ever go down to steas shop in Brixton market? I used hit there up weekly 2003-2005 times bit peak to go at times certain man used to get onto the graffiti artists buying paint and it was also long to get to for some man so, I actually took advantage tho to make some peas used to buy in bulk from steas n then and meet these writers n double up lol everyone was happy
Rate/Zom I’d put him up with the all time London ledges such as Fuel, Prime, Sham, etc. Kila you gotta try & pull out the stops & get Fuel onboard. Knew him BITD, funny lad & very smart.
Great interview fascinating to hear these guys stories, have to admit I know very little about the graff world but one of my earliest memories of seeing it was a tag called known that ran for miles in South east london along the tracks always wondered who that was
I met KNOWN in a pub in Greenwich years ago, very cool guy. He was doing some music stuff under his real name, can’t remember now but he was kind of doing busking covers of Wu Tang I think? Something like that. That should help in a search if you wanted to put a face to the name.
@@strappazoot haha that's a cool story thank you for sharing it man,he can be anonymous to me it's all good just wondered and its nice that he's a good guy and covers wu tang :) one of my favourite ever group of mcs that has lived.
Sorry if I’m being dozy, but how does he have his face blurred, but then tells everyone where his paint shop is? I don’t get it, surely that’s just as bait as showing his face?

Very dudious, forming two of the most infamous graffiti organisations (KTC & DDS)mmmmmmm which then lead to a new era of London graffiti style which took Graffiti in a direction all of its own. And now with his Graffiti store Chrome & Black, Zomby/Rate DDS is one of the active, longstanding kings of UK Graff known internationally. Rarely giving time for interviews or chats, this is a rare and one off piece of history.
