So love all your videos they have ben so helpful for me. I recently got a Mac Mini 2, previously had/have an iMac late 2013 which is still very useable but I could not update to the newest versions of Adobe software any longer. So I think from what I have read that at least Ventura and Sonoma no longer support anything but TTF and OTF fonts, is that correct? I have a lot of postscript fonts.
Yes, unfortunately that's true. You can try a Google search for "convert postscript font to otf" to convert them for free, but if you have a lot that will probably be a pain. Maybe do 10 a day or something.? And definitely test to make sure they convert ok.
Good video how-to. Do we need to do things differently now that Adobe doesn't support the older Type 1 formats? Which fonts work now? Only OTF?
Thank you! Adobe applications will continue to support OpenType CFF fonts as well as OpenType TTF and TrueType fonts.
Do you have any tips on how to group fonts? (i.e. 'fun', 'serious', etc?) I have a zillion fonts and have yet to find a method to the madness
Not really - I've always struggled with this since there's so much crossover.
This batch install don’t work with IOS Sonoma without individually toggling install when you drag them all in. Any idea how to batch install?
Are you working in the most recent version of Font Book? This sounds more like a Font Book issue vs iOS.
I have the font Barbie, and a second different font Barbie, the second one will download to the finder on the computer , but it will not go into font book. Do you know how I can get both in font book. Thanks,

We just got a new mac and we are trying to install all of our fonts from the old mac. We used font book and transferred them on to an external drive. Many of the fonts are locked and we we have no way to unlock them on the new mac. Any ideas???? We are a print shop so we need all of the fonts from the old mac.
In recent versions of macOS, system fonts are automatically activated and locked. Basically, Apple doesn't allow us to deactivate, move, or remove system fonts in macOS 11 and later. If a font was copied from your /System/Library/Fonts location, it's a system font - so that means that font is probably already on your new mac.
I installed fonts from my previous computer into the Font Book, the fonts are active in the font book but I can't find them in Indesign. Can you help? Thanks
I would try restarting InDesign.

Do you know why a font won't show up in Illustrator if you install it in FontBook? They are there in other programs including Photoshop but not Illustrator.
Have you tried restarting Illustrator? Are you on a recent version?
Hi. Thank you for responding. I am on the most current CC version. I have restarted many times. Some of the fonts are there but some are not.

It seems like your font might be corrupt.
