The experience might vary from one person to another just like in every fragrance but to me, all CDNIM variations in my collection have vastly improved over time in their scent qualities, almost transformed over the years. However, I reckon most people use them before they go through the process, which is a shame. By the way, I always appreciate your great reviews.
I have a decent collection of 40ish fragrances and this one is BY FAR my most complimented. Everyone seems to LOVE it. The opening is harsh but the dry down is phenomenal. I’ve been through 4 bottles so far including the Limited Edition one (smokier and better opening). It lasts all day long and even more on clothes. Have you try Pineapple vintage ? Wondering if it’s worth a blind buy since it’s triple the price 😅
I get the initial smell is a bit cleaning product, but after only 30 mins or so, its got me compliments, from them onwards. I have the Special Edition, probably around twice the price, but in all honesty, the EDT does the job.

This is my daily scent. Everywhere. I wear it like it’s deodorant. I may set out to wear a specific cologne but after I put on my deodorant, I give this one spray under each arm. This is Mr. Reliable, a friend that sticks closer than a brother.
this was my entry into frag space 5 years ago when i was looking for something other than Quorum for a special date. Blew me away and i LOVED the opening. Went thru a bottle in 6 months. The new formulation is no where near what it was. The smokey birch in earlier batches was so outstanding. Aventus is special but id take an old CDNIM over it any day.
Was wearing this as you did the review. Definitely agree that the opening is not the best, but after a while the harshness becomes exciting. You begin to expect it and it isn't like anything else. Also, the new armaf precieux is worth the price. It seems expensive, but the quality of that one is next level. The biggest problem is it doesn't project at all. I highly recommend getting a sample if you can. Smells totally different than this one and has 0 harshness
AC if you like this CDNIM Limited Edition is worth a serious look. It’s a much smoother version (no harsh opening) with great performance. Also a compliment beast 👍
I'll be interested if you could grab a decant of a recent batch 23+ of the EDT. I had a 2019 bottle that was beautiful vibrant pineapple with smoke. the new batch however lack both of that. its more leathery, lemony and has a woody dry down like pencil shavings. the opening has tamed down quite a bit but the scent isn't even what it used to be. Also I have the collectors edition of afnan's supremacy. its overhyped. its basically a fruity take on sauvage elixir. It seems high quality but I'm not keen on the sauvage and the spicy elixir DNA. Man I wish I could grab a bottle of the old batches of CDNIM.
Thanks for letting me know about supremacy as I was a bit curious. I did not realise it was a take on sauvage elixir. i will see if i can get a decant of the newer versions of the CDNIM EDT.

Biggest drawback with Aventus clones imo is that though they can replicate the pineapple and woods, they can never replicate that incredible ambergris dry down, especially older bottles of Aventus.
Wore this fragrance for the first time in a very long while last night. Its really excellent for the price. Unmatched performance...seemingly unlimited projection and longevity and the dry down is quite good. Value for money....perhaps incomparable.
What's the meaning of your channel's name ? What made you to give this name ? BTW Perfume Guru (perfume reviewer) was appreciating you in his latest video.
I think many people rate this cologne right from the opening and 90% don't like it. But after a while when it starts drying down is when it gets it's reputation as a good Aventus clone.
You dont have to spend £250 to smell refined though. If a budget fragrance gets you close to smelling like a very expensive fragrance, then I do not have an issue with that.

I quite like your observation. These middle eastern fragrances do tend to improve the longer they have been allowed to macerate.

I might try the precieux if I get a decant for a decent price, its just so hyped atm.
Absolutely agree on boomerang quality, end of the day when you have completely forgotten about it , suddenly you feel a whiff of this gem

On me it lasts a very long time , but it doesn't have the dark smoky character this has so its more suited for warmer weather.

That would be a very hard stretch to say they do not smell similar.
They do smell similar expect the opening pineapple, which Aventus has mastered.
Smelling similar and being refined are totally different things..
You dont have to spend £250 to smell refined though. If a budget fragrance gets you close to smelling like a very expensive fragrance, then I do not have an issue with that.
