my h-king corsair must have a different wing as the servo wires are almost 53mm behind the front of the wing and i had to add 2 oz of weight and a 1300mm battery shoved all the way forward just to get acceptable cg at about 47mm.
@ over in the UK we've had a few PROBS I'm using 3s850 cut foam away I side to get the lipo forward just about got it... If you check out flanker tanker you tube it's soooo tail heavy it's un real.. Ive got the CG at45mm Cheers Stay well Brian

@@BRIANFORWARD1 Mine as in the video balanced with a 3S 500, but yes I've shaved the foam away, using a 3S 800 jammed all the way forward and its working. Could be a manufacturing issue. HK did say you can add weight to the cowl. I guess that is the one draw back of a smaller plane. Getting the CG can be more challenging.

@@BRIANFORWARD1 Next week I get to finally go flying so I'll find out.
Like me did you have to add a TON of weight 60g to get it to balance at the Cg in the manual 40-45mm ??? - I think something is wrong with this Model or the instructions are not correct in the manual..- can you help please

Talked to HK. The cg specs are correct. Here is what I did to run a 3S 800. There is a little bit of foam inside the battery bay, I shaved that away so my 800 can slide all the way in. If that doesn’t work you may just need to fly with that extra nose weight or find a larger battery.
I would like to know how the tail wheel is held in as mine had fell out even before i removed the fuselage from the box, i tried to refit it but it just keeps falling out! Just hope this isnt going to be a problem with this model, its a good job it fell out before assemly otherwise i hate to think what would happen in mid flight as it forms part of the lower rudder hinge!

Hmm, that is a good question I don't have the answer for. I recommend you contact CS at HobbyKing. Sorry.
BlameAndre thanks for such a great video. I bought mine because of you, and maidened it on Thursday. Unfortunately, even with the new replacement gyro installed, it flew completely unpredictably. I thought it was me, but when I gave it to my friend to try out (a 3D Competition pilot with decades of experience) it flipped over and crashed again. Out of 7 flights, I only got 2 semi normal flights, and I don't know what to do. My friend thinks it might be because the battery, leads and RX are all so close and practically intertwined. If you have any suggestions or solutions I'd really appreciate it! ps. the Last crash also bent the prop shaft, and I currently have worked the old one about 50% out, and it really doesn't want to move more... smh

Ugh that is really unfortunate. I'd saw remove the stabilizer. Here is a link to the motor I suspect is in the plane. www.rc-castle.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2009
@ thank you! Yes, I'm going to disconnect the gyro, good idea! I've got a couple of these on backorder from Hobby King since early Feb, but maybe these will come faster from RC Castle! Thanks again :)
This is basically an FMS 800mm F4U V2 with some mod. It's easy to fly and I don't think you need the gyro at all.

My intention is to review it with the gyro and then remove it so I can put the rx under the fuse. I suspect this little plane will remain in the hangar for a while.
The wingspan spec is 50mm less with this one. LIke so many models, there is a slightly different one in the market. Don't know if they do that to escape intellectual property issues or whatever, but FMS and other models tend to have this issue. It would be a nice TH-cam to put them side by side and see if they just used a different ruler! They are filming a new movie about Korea that features Corsairs in Wenachtee, WA right now and it's pretty spectacular. RCgroups report torque is pretty strong on takeoff.
@ No problem - I have a lot of skills with RC models - construction, flying, repairing :-) So generally I know how to setup model for start. But for beginners will be fine to explain every important things ;-)

Nice Andre. I hope Hobby King keeps sending you products, you deserve the support.
Thank you for the video Andre.
Hope so, only time will tell.
Fantastic looking model. You did a great job with this little guy. Thanks a bunch. It's definitely a must have.

Nice clip! Can’t wait to see you fly it!
Great to see HK is back with some products to review!! #BlameAndré
You and me both! The Corsair looks mint.
This is the 4th plane in the 750mm series. There are the 1. Skyraider 2. P-51 Mustang 3. Hawker Hurricane 4. F4U Corsair.
Shoot, thanks for spotting that. Totally forgot about the Skyraider.

Hi
Quick question
Did you check the CG.... And did you have to add more weight
Cheers

As per the manual I went with 45mm with s 3S 500 battery.

@ that is what I have done a 1000mAh 3s right up the nose, and also 50g of weight in the nose - to get at the 45mm CG
@@FlankerTanker Are you doing the CG with the plane upside down? Gear on or off?

Can't get spare parts for it. Always on Backorder.
it doesnt cg per manual at 40-45mm with the battery you recommned, did you add nose weight?
I did not add nose weight.

Can you use the stabilizer with another radio than Spektrum ?
Yes of course. Any rx with 5-6 channel/pins will work. Or you can remove the stabilizer and put the rx under the fuselage.
Good instruction video, thanks for sharing.
Awesome thank you!

No, it's not. Fuselage is much, much smaller.
Am I blind or there is not in this video how to put battery to inside of model?
Hmm sorry about that. Not sure why I didn't put that in. I'll demonstrate that in today's video.
