I spent nearly 40 years at Chobham MOD research and development establishment (gone now). I was an engineer. Almost 6 years apprenticeship. We designed Challenger 1. I spent 6 months in the gearbox bay, so your work really means something to me. I'm 78 now and miss those days a lot. Thanks for the memories. Subd of course. I ended up superintendent of the workshops - God knows how, I never will.
Good video. No goofy video clips, no annoying music, easy to watch. Maybe take the camera along and show us where you find your parts. Maybe a closer look at that WW 1 tank.
The start gave me a chuckle reminding me of Friar Tuck, but by the time I saw the guts of the video - your 'Expletive' summed it up... Looking forward to seeing the rebuild. Respect eh
Great video, just because it came out of a skip and looks as rough as a bears ar*se doesn't mean it can't be saved. Fingers crossed you manage to find all the other bits you need because Deborah 2 deserves saving. 👍.
No worries bout the video layout. V. interesting vid. Look forward to more. Must have been a large decoration to do that sort of chaos. This tank was a a new build 100 after the war by JCB right. I have never even thought what goes into the back end of a tractor.
Please make sure you engineer some kind of prop to go under the unsupported section of the axle beams or trumpets as you call them, if not i fear this will just happen again...
The engineering that goes into heavy machinery, when things break and need replaced it’s never going to be a ‘cheap fix’. When I heard ‘Quack it’ I could tell things had gone south.. That trumpet was riddled with cracks .. I wonder what the mechanism was that started those?
Now That’s What I Call unlucky :o( I’ve seen CAT and duetz chew up gears like they never went to a dentist, but a tractor epicyclic is unusual. Could be bits of cast or the misalignment caused by the break. I hope you found some good bits, because that rusty angular gear is not a good specimen of geometry :D

I hoped you'd continue with the videos. I find them very informative and hugely enjoyable. Wishing you all the best

Happy Tuesday! And I thought digging into a 20 year old car was scary. I hope you have good luck finding what all you need.
Glad to see you back on a Tuesday, I was getting withdrawal symptoms Arran 😂😂. Great vlog mate.
Great to relax again to Tinkering Tuesday..... Nice
Good to see you guys back again !!
Bad luck on the bashing of parts inside....good luck on fining what you need, we will watch whatever you film for us !

That whole gear assembly looks beautiful. Onwards!
Nice one, great work guys.

WHO 😳. That’s a lot gears broke 😮😢.
Happy tuesday to you two to 👊👍
Lucky there was no train coming by 😉😉😉
Great footage
Apologies if I’m wrong but that looks to me to be a Ford tractor final drive unit. Should be no problem getting replacement parts for it
That would be incredible if they actually used commercial tractor parts

Is the drive unit overhung ? It would seem that supporting it would help immensely.

Someday, you'll need 3D scanning and printing to make parts to keep those running.
Happy Toosdee. Do you get yerself some kip now, bor!
Hew dew from a fellow East Anglian ;-)
Perhaps you could make a sign up saying you're 'filming' 😂

You still not told use how it broke in first place 🤔
I thought I missed that in the earlier video as well .
Had to fathom what could have done so much damage
