I took to Mark the first time I saw him play in the 1998 B&H Masters and boy what a match that was on a reposted black against the great Stephen Hendry, I cant stand people who chew nails but I nearly took up the habbit during that match Jeeeeze there was some drama!!!!
Totally agree with both of you. I really appreciate his sense of humour, not to mention his skill around the table. Imagine what snooker would be like, if Williams, O'Sullivan and John Higgins weren't around, and the three of them burst onto the scene in the same year.

Ronnie has nothing to prove right now and he doesn't need anymore money. no one has more drive than Ronnie. we won't have another Ronnie for decades when he retires. greatest snooker player the game has ever seen and most likely will ever see. can you see todays youth wanting to dedicate their whole life towards being the best for 2-3 decades?
I like his composure throughout the frame he didn't over think didn't panic when he got out of line or had a tough shot just focused and handled each problem positively

I've made 147 breaks and won tournaments, list, 1, Stephen Hendry, then it's probably Mark Selby who has 8 years on Ronnie O'Sullivan and a winning record over him, then it's probably fraud Ronnie O'Sullivan in 3rd place, Mark Williams is well down the list! I believe he was taught by Obewan kenobi. The giveaway is that sometimes he even closes his eyes on the shot. He's obviously using the force.

Can't believe I've never seen this 147. The difficult top cushion red and blacks made this one of the best imo.

depends how you view it, it was difficult pots because of poor position, normally the best 147s rated by viewers are the faultless ones.
I'm Marks biggest fan but THE best 147 I've seen was by Kirk Stevens .
Mark's temperament and Ronnie's skill would be the ultimate player
he has always had the skill. Mark + Hendry's drive i think is a batter combo.

Williams is great to watch, he's not the best positional player, but he's such a great potter that its fascinating to watch.
