Yes this is fun! I don't enjoy Oloroso much but the high ppm helped block out those nasty notes for me. Would I buy it, no but I'm glad I tried it. Billy Walker, as always knows what he's doing. Cheers 🥃
Thanks for reviewing this Whisky. Sounded like a lot was going on in that Whisky. Looking forward to the Offerman review. FYI when I watch your reviews my cat is usually watching them along with me, Cheers!
This sounds like an interesting flavor bomb. I like the price as well. I will have to keep and eye out for it, but not keeping my hopes up based on the number available.
The Turbo release looks like a strange but unique in a way. I am doing very well with the Chinquapin release. The Turbo is not and and likely will not be available in my market. I went with the Chinquapin as I have 2-3 Sherry bottles on the go from other distilleries and it's pretty solid whisky for a 5 year old juice. All I can say based on my one bottle experience of Meikle Toir is that these initial release bottles by Billy Walker and team are definitely worth trying. Judging by Billy's knack for putting out great whiskies, we can expect good stuff to be produced by Meikle Toir in the future. Cheers John!
Unique and intense sound wonderful to explore! Terrific review John! Wow! I love your thoughts on what you experienced with nosing and palette!! Sounds fascinating! I was surprised you came to a 6 out of 10 but I value your opinions very much. I can't tell exactly what I'd think of this whisky! It sounds deeply complex.🙂Love your cat!

This one sounds interesting....I'm sure available will go up with time, same as the 10yr cask strength.
Thanks for the review Jon!
Thanks 🙏

Interesting take . . . Highland peat, near Octomore level, 25% sherry 75% bourbon-cask, . . . not for everyone.
Yes a unique offering…

Might have been a great review, but 6 minutes in, before the review started, I was just done. Sorry. Cheers.
What a coincidence… that was my score.
