AsSalaamu Alaikum, I truly respect the fact that you are very clear in saying that you are teaching the fiqh of salah from the perspective of the Hanbali madhhab. It’s important to mention that because on social media this can be watched by any one on the globe where the customary fiqh may be different from what you’re teaching. It is also important to note because in America, all four madhhabs are abundant. No school of fiqh has dominance amongst the people. Therefore to clarify what is being taught, as opposed to just saying this is how you pray and other ways are mistakes, is very important. JazakAllahu khair!

Summary(Important Notes) of The Fiqh of Salah Episode 4: Fajr Salah The time of Fajr is from فجر الثاني(the second Fajr) until sunrise. This is not فجر الكاذب(the lying Fajr) which is the narrow thin ray of sun. The فجر الثاني/فجر الصدق(the truthful Fajr/the second Fajr) is when the ray expands and it is across the whole horizon. The rise of the sun is when you see the disc of the sun on a flat horizon(like an ocean). The science equations today can tell you exactly when Fajr ends(sunrise), Zuhr begins, Maghrib begins(sunset). But no equation can tell you the exact time Fajr begins or Maghrib ends. This is extremely subjective to one’s eyesight. So the modern Muslim astronomers guesstimate the timings. Whoever says Takbeer(Allahu Akbar) for the Salah before the Salah timing finishes is considered to have caught it. This is one opinion within the Hanbali Madhab. The other and stronger opinion is that whoever catches a Ruku’(bowing) has caught the Salah. This is because there is a Hadith where Prophet(SAW) explicitly mentioned this. Praying at the beginning time is always better except for Isha(other i.e. not Fajr) and Zuhr in the summer months. This is the Mustahab(preferred) timings. Praying early or late, as long as it is in the time of choice, is completely allowed. Reference:- 1. It is preferred to delay praying Isha because it is authentically narrated that the Prophet(SAW) would delay praying until half the Masjid fell asleep and Umar(RA) began to gently knock the door on the Prophet(SAW). Then the Prophet(SAW) came out said that this(later time) is the real-time of Isha. Delaying it until an hour or two after the time starts but before the middle of the night is preferred. 2. Zuhr is preferred to be delayed only in the summer months because the Prophet(SAW) said the intense heat of the sun comes from the gusty wind of Hell-Fire. 3. An Authentic Hadith(in Sahih Muslim) of Abu Barza Al-Aslami mentions two things: a. The Prophet(SAW) would pray Asr and then we would go back to tents/houses/camel tents at the furthest sights of Madinah and the sun would still be hot. (Not the Hanafi timing of Asr since the sun is hot 30-40 minutes after praying Asr) b. The Prophet(SAW) would love to delay Isha. 4. Hadith(in Bukhari and Muslim) from Raafi bin Khadeej says that they would pray Maghrib led by the Prophet(SAW) and they could still see the ground where the arrows had fallen. (This means Maghrib is early and the sun’s brightness is still there) 5. Aisha(RA) narrates that one day the Prophet(SAW) delayed the Isha prayer until most of the time had gone. Then he(SAW) came out and said this is the real-time of Isha. 6. Another Hadith from Raafi bin Khadeej says that the Prophet(SAW) said “Continue to pray Fajr until the sun is almost about to rise as that is better for reward.” Note: “Continue of pray Fajr”, according to three Madhabs, means to make the Fajr prayer lengthy. One Madhab(not Hanbali) differs and says that the preferred time to pray Fajr is later not earlier. However, there is a Hadith narrated by Aisha(RA) which states that the women who came to pray Fajr in the Masjid could not be recognized because of how dark it was. This means that the Prophet(SAW) prayed Fajr early. 7. A Hadith in the Prophet(SAW) said “Whoever catches a Raka’(unit) of Fajr before the sunrise has caught the entire prayer of Fajr. Whoever catches a Raka’(unit) of Asr before the sunset has caught the entire prayer of Asr.” (Raka, not Takbeer) Not related to the Topic:- Two Ayahs, one in Surah Ghafir and the other in Surah Nuh, mention punishment in the grave. Numerous Hadith explicitly mention the punishment of the grave. Aisha(RA) said that the Prophet(SAW) used to ask for refuge from the punishment of the grave after every prayer. This ends the entire summary. Anyone who thinks I have missed some point is welcome to reply but please give the time in the lecture when Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi talked about it so that I can be sure. JazakaAllah Khair
Asalaamu alaikum Sheikh, Could you kindly make it possible to post one library chat after a regular interval as per your convenience like the way you do your Q&As.We know you are very busy, but kindly accept this request.
any thoughts on the shifting fair and Aisha times that changes day length between 6 hours to 18 hours. Why do people living in north latitudes have to use a sun dial when doing so devious a person of any planning and discipline?
Generally the hottest time of the day is around the Asir. Not sure , why would anyone delay Zuhur even in the summer since when syn is at its zenith it is still not the hottest time of the day

35:00 i thought this was talking about the people drowning in the flood
How can I get the notes for this so I can Follow along while he is teaching inshAllah… please let me know where are can get it from inshAllah
Assalamualaikum shaykh...Will it be permissible to follow the sunnah of praying Isha late at the cost of not praying in congregation in Masjid?????
Your local masjid is already delaying isha, as isha literally starts after maqhrib but no masjid prays isha straight after maqhrib.
Generally the hottest time of the day is around the Asir. Not sure , why would anyone delay Zuhur even in the summer since when syn is at its zenith it is still not the hottest time of the day
