You can play Perfect Emerald, its a romhack thats lets you play the normal Emerald but you can complete the pokedex by yourself thanks to some new events that have been added to capture mythical and legendary pokemon and the elimination of trade evos

I'd love to have vanilla emerald but only changed graphics, better/newer sprites for pokemon, trainers, npcs and if it was possible the overworld too

Two others I've seen which seem cool are *Cosmic Emerald* and *Delta Emerald.*
Cosmic has one particularly unique gimmick to it, where Pokeballs are reusable if they fail to catch something, but are more expensive/rare as a counterbalance. Its an interesting idea.
Delta is exactly what it sounds like: ORAS but for Emerald. Screenshots look really nice and they revert the Champion back to Steven, which just makes more sense. I'll never understand why that was changed in OG Emerald. Lol.
Bonus one that doesn't really count as an improvement hack but is still really cool: *Emerald Wally Special Edition.*
This is different from Wally Quest. The former is older and more faithful to the original Emerald, you just play from Wally's perspective in a world where he's the main protagonist. The latter is much newer and is the dev's first hack, but it deviates from the original Emerald a bit too much for my tastes (The dev even says on the Pokecommunity thread that they incorporated creepypasta crap).
So, yeah. "Cosmic Emerald," "Delta Emerald," and "Emerald Wally Special Edition." :)

Looking for an Emerald rom hack to enjoy hoenn at 100% and with some new features:
-PSS
-Mega evos and Fairy type
-QoL and a steeper difficult curve
-battle Frontier available and functioning

just started pokemon rowe and its the exact game ive been searching for. Perfect ivs (cause im a perfectionist), open world so the game isnt boring anymore and all the pokemon up to gen8 with megas. Just wondering if theres any story to it other than that keep up the good work man very grateful i found this game.
Open world Pokémon makes the game go from I could lose to. This is baby mode for people who struggle w the base game lmao
Have you tried Blazing Emerald? It's up to 1.6, with a 1.7 being worked on.
Emerald Genesis is another hack I really liked. Along with delta emerald and quetzal.
Rogue can be explained as the current GOAT. If you want to see it in action, I highly recommend watching Blunder play
Is there an enhanced version with only Pokemon up to gen 3? I'd like to play it again, but just with some quality of life changes, it doesn't even need to be open world.
Emerald cross or perfect emerald
There's Modern Emerald. It has an option for new or original Pokémon, moves, stats, and togglable move split. It's fantastic
It also has an inbuilt randomizer/nuzlocke mode 3 difficulties and support for monotype runs. It also has nature mints. Another huge qol update is the pokedex that comes with a list of learnable moves and shows a ton more info like egg groups or base stat spreads

did i download the wrong version of Emerald Enhanced? when i played even the most basic trainer had the same Lv has my stronger pokemon, making me heal after every battle, i received a Lv 100 legendary at the first city and the "face the gym leaders at any order" has just me facing low lv fully evolved Pokemons that OHKO everything (like a lv 10 Darmanitan)
I used to play a type similar to Pokemon Emerald but with very stable genes 1-8 but now I can't remember its name.

Only played Crest so far and it's not in the list. I just wanted something that somewhat remains faithful to the og but got modern stuff.
I'd like to have all the stuff in the succeeding games but I also want to experience it in the og way. So maybe something like close to the og and then just get new gen Pokes and stuff after becoming champion.

You say that, but honestly I think that'd be a really interesting hack just cause of how drastically *different* the region would be. It's the same kinda thing as Der Erif where it adjusts Kanto for you to traverse it backwards.

Could also paint it as an alternate Ruby sequel or something where Maxie succeeded to justify it in-world. Idk, just throwing out ideas now. :P

You should try Pokémon Quetzal.
Play Pokemon quetzal pkmn upto gen 9 available, can select modes and have in built cheat mode (lol) dynamax,mega evolution and hisuian species available
Customisable difficulty modes and much more it's super good lol

Tired 😂of these hardcore games . I just want to be able to complete the Pokédex in ONE ROM I’m still missing 5 Pokémon from my original save copy of emerald and it’s hurts to know about these event Pokemon I knew nothing about. Emerald was pretty difficult in its original release. It doesn’t need to be made any harder I just want to get all of the gen 1-3 Pokémon in one game .
