Thanks for rhis detailed video. Question: I have Lucas Oil Extreme Duty gun oil. Would you advise a separate CLP, then apply the Lucas oil or can I use gun oil to clean, too?
Hello friend. Thank you for this video. Mine has been extremely problematic from the factory. Certain times failure at every round, certain times shoots normal. About 75% failure rate. Have you experienced this with this gun? Experienced gunners say the spring seems extremely stiff and were amazed how tight racking it is. Am going to try your cleaning instructions to see if it helps.
Hello, I'm curious if your issue got resolved? I also just purchased this model, and had some issues initially with shells failing to eject. Shot maybe 6 rounds through it at first, I'd say 3 of those jammed. Brought it out to the range, the first mag jammed 4-5 rounds, then the next 40ish rounds no issue. My wife gave it a try, jammed for her every shot (say 5 rounds), I finished out the mag and no jams. I heard limp wristing this pistol can cause jamming issues, and also low powered rounds because of the 18 lb spring. I was shooting a mix of 115gr and 124gr, couldn't say which shot better. Just finished cleaning it for the first time following this video, hoping next time out is a better experience. The store I bought it from oils weapons up at time of sale, my friends told me they don't do a great job and over oiling the internals could be the culprit as well. Thanks for any reply!
@@zach7384 hello yes. I will go to shoot it in a week or so but I called in and told them a local gunsmith told me the recoil spring feels too stiff (very hard to cock back). Sent it in, to Beretta on warranty they out a new spring in it, feels like a whole different gun. I overoiled it snd that didnt work either. I am 99.9% sure it will shoot fine now.
@@viskkisvsp3381 wow, glad to hear the spring feels better. Really unfortunate the cleaning didn't help! You have me worried now, lol. How long did Beretta take to send the gun back to you? I heard it can be quite awhile. Also, I read on a reddit thread that you can put a 15lb spring in it & it'll eject 115gr no problem. Judging by the fact Beretta swapped your spring, I would guess that's the issue most of us are having. If they'll take several months to send it back to me, I may just swap the spring out with a compatible one @ 15 lbs and give that a shot (assuming my next outing goes poorly)
@@zach7384 first time around 3 weeks where they told me my gun was fine which was bs, but second time around 4 weeks. I would call in and just say it got diagnozed by local gunsmith and they told you you need a new spring. Theyll jsut mail you ine accorsing to the service rep. i messed up and sent it in apparently. Give it a shot!
I have a APX A1 full size and just bought the APX A1 tactical full size.. can I switch barrels between them or just the slides? Or everything is the same for both pistols except the barrel & sights right?

The gun oil is fine to use for cleaning. Might need a solvent like Hoppes #9 if it’s been a long time since the last cleaning.

Mine has been reliable. Might need to reach out to Beretta.
