Checking with the airline doesn’t help since we have to go through the custom gate and the agents sometimes do not understand this type of technical information and they will not allow it. I think it is still too risky for me to go through the gate with the check-in luggage containing the battery.
Go to the security inspection with at least one hour additional, then you have time to explain if needed. I traveled with power tools last week and the additional time is good with items they are not used to.
The max unit battery. Is it a similar size and weight as a normal sport battery? Do you use the smaller sport cone or the larger max cone? What I am getting at is if I buy a travel battery am I also buying a sport battery at the same time?
