Fuck yeah! This guy genuinely cares about his car/craftsmanship and his attention to detail shows it! I’ve seen far too many builds where dudes don’t close up the fender areas after cutting and it *kills* me! Even noticed when you touched up the rear with some red paint after drilling holes for the clean spoiler 😎. Great song selection too! You may not see me comment again any time soon but I’ll definitely be watching all of your vids as I absolutely love this car! You know it’s the one when you uncontrollably smile any time you see one on the road. The R35 was my dream car for years while growing up but it wasn’t until I discovered this affordable beauty that made me change my mind. (I still love ya though Godzilla!) Great work my guy! I’ll be looking forward to seeing more from you on future projects, tips, tricks, etc. Whether it’s this car or not, you’re solid! ✊🏾

Congrats on finishing the project. I had to zip forward to see if you ever lined up the duck tail on the rear right and it still looks crooked. 18:53 shows it. I am doing this soon and was wondering why you chose mount the rear parts in the order you did. still, most wouldnt notice. have a good one.
Yeah i know what you mean it was a bit wonky back then, it lines up much better now with just a bit of wiggling. As only 1 bolt holds those side pieces of the spoiler on with the way i mounted them so they have alot of movement to them when loosened off. Personally I'm really not a fan of the quality and fitment of the liberty walk parts considering the cost of them.
@@SamwiseEXCL I have wondered that about all the wide body kits, the quality that is. Cause it is a lot of money, for what essentially is plastic. I guess you are paying for the cost of the mold as well. Glad you got her lined up, i see what you mean by it being only one bolt, which makes it able to move. Still a very cool looking car once you were done, but those BRZ or whatever are cool cars though. Congrats on the build. Thanks for making this content.
Not during 2020 i didn't, was a bit broke after all the parts haha! but i'm hoping during this year I can move ahead with an LS3 engine swap I have in the works.
@@SamwiseEXCL Bro thats fucking sick ls3 swaps are always crazy as hell. Theres a guy in my city that has a 350z for sale with an LS3 in it and it sounds and looks sick.
I’m just wondering how well would the car handle humps like would the kit scrape on it /when you lower the car wouldn’t there be issues (thinking of starting a project car when I have some funds)
It is regrettable to call it a modified car. If you remodel it so far, it will be one work. This car should be called your collaboration with the Toyota GT86.
The kit comes with rubber edging to hide any imperfections in the fitment of the kit, I didn't want to use it so instead decided to sand and fill in some areas to make the fitment fairly decent, i'm quite pleased with how it turned out.
Yeah, because I decided to go for getting brand new sheet metal welded in compared to slicing up the original fender material and bending it in to place, etc etc we'd need a template to know exactly how best to fill the gap. So the paper/cardboard was used to make those templates, it definitely made it a much easier task when it came to making it out of metal as there was no guess-work involved :)
No, it wouldn't work with the Rocket bunny front bumper. In this case I removed mine as it's not a legal requirement as long as they're fully removed here in the UK
At first it was a bit darty but once I had it aligned properly it drive's fantastically. Not too dissimilar to stock, steering is perhaps a bit heavier feeling with the wider front tyres but I don't mind that personally. With stick power still (soon to be fixed!) it's pretty much impossible to get it sideways unless it's heavy rain or you're trying really hard to get it to kick loose but I don't mind that really so overall it has alot more grip!
im just curious, how much did this cost you? and how much was the price of the car itself? ty, your video was awesome btw, holy shit that car is seggsy 🥵
For the most part I just cut down and re-used the original Arch Liner but I also added back to it with some Sheets of HDPE (durable thin plastic) and rivets. I need to probably re-do it and take me time with it a bit more but it's stopped my engine bay getting filled with gunk and my rear arches are fully undersealed anyway

Like everything but the slammed stance. I love the rocket bunny body kit with coilovers
Problem with Coilovers in the UK is our roads are so bad that at a decent ride height the car looks like a monster truck 90% of the time
Now you make me want to buy an 86

Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see the finished project!

the part where the paper was put in the fender and taped off confuse me a bit. Was it used to figure how to seal it off? 14:01

Cool build, but this is the first time I had to watch an almost 20 minute video on mute
Yeah the music wasn't exactly great
What year is your car? And does it matter which year it is for a rofketbunny v2?
mine is 2013/2014 but it shouldn't matter up until the face lift in 2018 i think
what do you do with the headlight washer system?
It probably won't work with the front apron or?
No, it wouldn't work with the Rocket bunny front bumper. In this case I removed mine as it's not a legal requirement as long as they're fully removed here in the UK
Ohh they have to cut it to put the body kits?
Yes you have to cut the body to fit most widebody kits
How does it drive afterwards?
At first it was a bit darty but once I had it aligned properly it drive's fantastically. Not too dissimilar to stock, steering is perhaps a bit heavier feeling with the wider front tyres but I don't mind that personally. Im wondering couldnt he Just remove the rear diffuser or is that stuck on the bumper
Yeah it's part of the bumper itself, like molded in to the same single piece of plastic, so there's no removing it unfortunately
Hi sorry new to cars, but what is that he has in the trunk?
The car is on Air suspension (As alot of show cars are) and that's the air tank and compressors for that system
Damn how long did this take?🥵😱
5 months from start to finish!
im just curious, how much did this cost you? and how much was the price of the car itself?
ty, your video was awesome btw, holy shit that car is seggsy 🥵
Haha the car itself actually only cost me £4k because i bought it as a salvage, all the mods probably cost me around 4-5times that
A stock 2022 out the dealership will run you 28k
I got my 2020 86 a year ago
And going to make a build out of it
What wheels do you have on the car?
Work Meister M1
What kinda Jack is that you used under the car? And where can I get one?
They're called Quickjacks, you can often buy them online or at a few stores like Costco here in the UK
Does the stock grill mesh fit with the rocket bunny bumper or is that a custom one?
It does not, the rocket bunny kit comes with some universal plastic grill mesh material to use
What's the thing in the boot, that cylinder thing ?
Air suspension tank
@@SamwiseEXCL ah. NOICE. Thank you for your reply :)
Hi do you sell Your Valenti headlight?
I did sell them yes, unfortunately quite some time ago.
what brand and color wrap is that?
It's made by KPMF :)
Why is the car called the 4k gt86
It's mostly just a small nickname it's got as I originally bought the car for £4000 after the previous owner had wrecked it!
