Small 86 jobs and.. whats this?! MERCHANDISE?
Is ur fuel level working well or its giving error level indicator inside the car for me it show 1/2 tank but its empty
Map sensor should read close to 100 kpa with key on engine on. Typical idle kpa with a big cam is 60-65 kpa. If map sensor doesn’t read correctly it definitely won’t run correctly.
I'm commander Shepard and this is my favorite short on youtube.
Dude that is so nice! What is the name of that spoiler and diffuser? They look awesome on your car!
Cheers, it's just the Rocket bunny V2/3 Splitter which I put the original light in to and its a liberty walk ducktail spoiler
@@SamwiseEXCL Thanks! Amazing ride bro, one day will make my little 86 mighty like yours💪

What color is that?
It's called "Red black iridescent" by KPMF
@@SamwiseEXCL thanks it’s beautiful
Do you happen to know how much it would cost to rebuild an LS3 with 250,000 miles ?
This moment reminds me of Caracatus Potts, where he spends forever all his time in his garage building his car and then eureka, it finally starts! Whoa, that sound! That is beautiful - Mad Max Interceptor!!! Now the Rocket Bunny Kit makes sense. I wasn't keen on it but I can see now that it needs it to match the character of the engine.
It's getting very exciting at this stage. Thanks for the immense effort in video, sharing and effort on top of actually doing the work and doing the day job. I didn't appreciate the vast amount of wiring work required on a new engine build.
Thanks for sharing this experience including your mistake. For a numpty like me, I did not spot the issue until you showed it. It's the whole experience with your ups and downs which makes this story so interesting to the untrained eye for me.
Yep that was impressive work making the heat shield. I saw that piece of metal and thought there is no way you're going to be able to knock that into a customised shape. Wow, you did it. Cool!
I will never be brave or talented enough to rebuild an engine. Thank you for the immense effort and putting these videos together. They are very interesting. It's great to follow your journey and I'm a fan.
Sorry I'm a bit late to the party. Only just this week started going through your PH thread. It's absolutely awsome and I'm taking my time going through each bit to follow your journey. I don't know anything about rebuilding an engine and found this episode very interesting. It was not boring or too wordy at all.
Were did you get the cit from?
Whyd you stop posting and whats up with the car?
Last year was just really busy, the car was being a pain in the butt and I quickly fell out of love of the idea of trying to force out a few videos without much interesting content to show off. Sadly after I got it all up and running the engine spun a couple of bearings and it's been off the road since. I couldn't pull the engine on a drive way and the car got moved to a local farm but thanks to all the noise there it's a terrible place to make videos. The Engine itself is out and It's currently being rebuilt as I didn't fancy doing it again myself in a dusty old barn. Hoping to get it back on the road again for the summer and I may start making a few videos again but they'll probably be few and far between as I'd rather not try and force myself to make a video for the sake of trying to stick to some kind of schedule this time.
Nobody shows the wiring process for the daytime running headlights 🫠
Sorry! they're quite simple however, just live, ground and then one signal wire in my case i wired it in to my Vland headlights main beam.
What year is your car? And does it matter which year it is for a rofketbunny v2?
mine is 2013/2014 but it shouldn't matter up until the face lift in 2018 i think
I'm Japanese, and I was surprised that 86 could be so cool! What color is the paint? Please let me know!
Thank you! it's a wrap called "Red black iridescent" by KPMF
Like everything but the slammed stance. I love the rocket bunny body kit with coilovers
Problem with Coilovers in the UK is our roads are so bad that at a decent ride height the car looks like a monster truck 90% of the time
Loving the 86, that kit looks amazing, typical of Rocket Bunny and also amazing tunes 🎵 to accompany the videos too, are there any links or playlists for them, take it easy and keep up the good work, Ste 🇬🇧
Rims??
Work Meister M1
What hood is that??
Seibon "VS Style"
I pulled this video of the help in my auto class, and the one part I’m stuck at isn’t even in the video, I’m stuck in on taking off the harmonic balancer.
thank you
What size clocks are you using and where are you buying them from?
Hi, I usually just measure the size I need, in this case the Rod Journal was 58mm so I simply bought a 58mm "Clock Insert" a quick google search brings up a few places you and purchase them or I think I bought these off Ebay
Hi, I just watched your video on making a Clock. I have a piston where can I buy clocks like that and I’m also looking for a bigger one that will fit in the timing cover for a Harley. Thank you for any help you can give me.
Very well made video and great camera angles. All around enjoyable experience. Love seeing a muscle engine being brought back to life.
Thank you very much!
Where did you get the clock?
My 2011 ss with a 6.2 ls3 ran with no antifreeze and over heated and I think locked up any ideas how to fix it?
Yikes.. I’m assuming there was also some sort of oil issue as well..?
Nice! a complete engine rebuild in less than a half hour. Love the detailed process.
I’m so glad this bumper has the side-marker delete. Those side-markers are a pain in the ass bcuz they come loose if u hit a pothole or drive against the wind
Another question. I noticed you made sure to keep the order of the valves. But not for the pistons. Just wondering your thought process?
I did keep the order of the pistons :) I Wrote 1 through 8 on my work bench and kept them in the same order throughout the process
Curious what you are doing here? 9:06 This is amazing to watch.
At that moment i'm lapping the valves, give it a google for more info but basically over time the valve seating surfaces become pitted so you essentially use grinding paste to "Re-seat" them so that they make a good seal when the valves are closed
Great video. I'm itching to put an LS3 with a Tremec TKX 5 speed in my 71 El Camino. It currently has an LM7 with a 4L60e. Couple questions, how do you decide to do a full tear down versus just dropping a used engine in?
Soon after I got the engine it stopped turning over by hand, I decided at that moment that I had to get it apart to work out what was causing that and then in the process decided that it was best to rebuild it overall as it was quite grimey and sludgy inside with old oil
Ohh they have to cut it to put the body kits?
Yes you have to cut the body to fit most widebody kits
What would it cost to take my ls3 out if my corvette, do all this to it, and put it back in in parts and labor?
What wheels do you have on the car?
Work Meister M1
Awesome work!
Thank you! Cheers!
sounds nice but needs more grumble
🤣
Needs a new plate now, "V8 BNY"
Did think about it haha, I think it's available too!
I had to watch this on mute The music sucks
I’m just wondering how well would the car handle humps like would the kit scrape on it /when you lower the car wouldn’t there be issues (thinking of starting a project car when I have some funds)
It's on Air lift so I can just raise it up at the click of a button, I don't drive it around as low as you see it at the end :)
@@SamwiseEXCL I see that makes sense ty
Just installing my v2 kit and you've solved every major issue ive come across thank you!
No worries at all! These videos are a couple of years old now but if you've got any questions feel free to reach out on instagram - @SamwiseEXCL
Sounds awesome. Exhaust hack (literally) worked a treat! Congrats on finding and fixing the ground issue. When in doubt, check the logs! 😂🤣 Really looking forward to the post map video. Once it's all sorted you need to get the dB meter out!!
Haha I dread to think how loud it is in reality, not sure i'd have much luck going on track with it :P
Are you going Japfest?
Yeah that's the plan currently! It's actually the weekend before i'm getting it properly tuned so assuming it's running okay to make the trip i'll be hopefully attending!
