Thank you for the fabulous tour! Your home is cozy and open-airy at the same time. So tranquil.
As you requested, a few houseplant tips would be to:
1. Rotate your babies every couple of days, so they receive equal light.
2. Be sure not to over-love them with copious amounts of water 💦. Each plant has its own specs, that you can learn about from the cards that are in the soil when you buy them. I keep mine in a notebook with the date purchased/acquired.
3. TALK to them! 😃 They love ❤️ that!
And
4. Be sure to check often to see if they are outgrowing their containers or spaces.
They love to wiggle their toes. ☺️🌱💕

This apartment is /gorgeous/, but I what I really loved from the video was how Aileen talked about some struggles and some imperfections in the process of putting the place together. It made me feel more confident about my own mishaps and imperfect details, which are just a normal part of life. This is why I love Lavendaire

Hi plant mom! When I used to take care of plants when I was younger, I would put mayonnaise on the leaves which gave them a nice shine and kept them healthy. Hope that helps!
Your fiddle leaf fig (Ficus lyrata) will benefit from a humidifier (since I kn ow you're in LA and it gets hot/dry there!) You can buy cordless ones on Amazon for like $10 they look like a giant ceramic marble (or get a big one, your choice). When new leaves start coming in mist them so they don't stick to themselves and rip/deform while trying to open. Don't mist the larger leaves, just wipe them with a damp cloth once a week or so. They need a consistent watering schedule too because they're super fussy otherwise. Can't wait still it's 6 feet tall haha. I've got over 100 plants and I'm in the FB group so if you need any advice let me know! Love helping plant parents

Splitleaf Other fiddle leaf advice: Also I have heard that the fiddle leaf likes bright light but not direct light, as this can burn its leaves. See how you go though; it may react differently depending on your living room conditions (humidity, which direction your apartment is facing, the type of curtains you have, etc).
I have also heard from my nursery that this plant does not need too much water; you should wait until it is completely dry before watering it thoroughly again. It does not like to sit in water so let it drain in a bath tub. Otherwise, you could also water frequently but with smaller amounts.

Loved this! Can you please do a more in depth video on your bathroom? You’ve inspired me so much to be more minimalistic but one struggle is how many products I have in my bathroom (hair and body care products) I would love to see a tour of your drawers and the products and things you use to get idea of what you keep around for those types of things xoxox

I like your simplicity. I like that you honored yourself and what you gravitate toward. Now I'm imagining how you were able to decorate it with all the things you love when you share the space with someone else...wondering bc I have a tough time making decisions when I know it will affect someone else. Since I don't want to step on my husbands design toes (or spend too much money on nonessentials), I struggle with deciding what I like aesthetically and bringing that into my home. 😍I think typing this comment made me learn something about myself!
My bf was kind enough to let me decorate the whole apartment... he’s not good at this stuff lol. He has one corner of his computer and chair which I didn’t show bc it’s not aesthetic 😂

I love the tour! Your bloopers at the end make you so relatable!! My advice for mr. Fiddle fig the plant is to say hello to him daily! Seriously! He will love to soak up the carbon monoxide you give off and in return he will give you oxygen!! It really does work to help plants grow happy and healthy! They thrive on positive affirmations too!!!
