August 2021 Royalton Punta Cana Hideaway with Diamond Club Upgrade

- We spent 11 wonderful days here in August. The Hideaway is an adults only section of the Royalton Punta Cana Resort and Casino. With the Diamond Club upgrade you have access to the entire resort and all the amenities of Royalton Splash located within walking distance included. Great video! I liked that you really showed a lot of the resort, beach and especially the menus and buffet since I was wondering about the food.
Been to this resort twice, we are making it three times in FEB 2022. Cannot wait!!!!

@@rociopenaperez5258 I don’t remember the cost but if you like top shelf drinks, access to Royalton Splash for free, and an adults only section on the beach, and 1 free hour in the hydrotherapy area each day, it will be worth the cost!

Guy, this was a blast to make. We stayed 14 days and selected a day or two to just walk around and take video. That's when people started to interact with us and made it just that much more fun!

Royalton Splash is a short tram ride or a few minute walk from here. If you upgrade to the Diamond Club you get to enjoy Splash at no extra charge. Or, you can pay an extra fee to go there without the Diamond Club upgrade. It was a lot of fun to go over to splash for the day.
What is the weather like in august? Also was it busy in that month?
Were all the restaurants open? How was the nightly entertainment? Was there a lot of people staying there, going with a friend looking for a lively fun resort would you recommend this place? Thanks for the video.
All restaurants were open with the exception of Jade Asian/Fusion cuisine. The nightly entertainment began in the theater and then continued in the main courtyard. The resort is at 40% capacity right now. There was a good mix of quiet and lively. Some nights the outside entertainment went till 2 am! We definitely recommend this resort and will return again next year. Thank you for watching our video!

I notice that you are feeding family of cats. Do you know if they belong to the property? My husband is very sensitive when it comes to cats and he wears his heart on his sleeves, I just need to know if I need to bring cat food for him to feed them.
Hi Tes sorry I missed your message. The resort does have a few cats on the property. We found a mother cat & her kittens & fed them food from the buffet.

Hi I'm currently deciding between the Royalton Hideaway and Royalton Bavaro, have you stayed at the Bavaro for contrast? Also i'm booking through Tui did you book Diamond upgrade when you got there or in advance and did you think it was worth it?
Laura, we had quite a surprise a few days before we were to leave. We had researched Royalton Bavaro and thought we had booked our stay there. Instead we booked the Royalton Casino and Spa. When we realized our mistake we just decided to go with it. We wanted the Bavaro due to the lazy river, the bar in the lazy river and the bath tub in the room. The Royalton had none of those and it would have cost us $250 for a day pass to visit the Bavaro, it is only a 5 minute drive away. We booked the Diamond Club upgrade ahead because we like the extra perks. One of those perks was a free hour in the hydrotherapy spa every day! It was amazing as you can see in the video. Overall, the Royalton Casino and Spa was less expensive than the Bavaro but the Hideaway adults only option certainly made up for the things we had wanted at the Bavaro. Soooo diamond club is worth it? 🤔
It was definitely worth it for us. The ability to have access to the entire resort, the complimentary 1 hour in the water spa area each day and the Dorado sea food buffet were our favorite parts of the many Diamond Club exclusive perks.
Hi..how much u spend for picture with parrot
If you wait it out you can get a deal. They wanted $30 tp $50 for pictures. Our butler said never pay more than $20. So, after several times of saying no, the guy with the parrot asked us to pay him whatever we thought was fair. I had $17 on me at the time and he said okay. The iguana pictures didn’t cost anything. He just wanted me to hold the iguana so he could use his phone and my wife snapped some quick pictures!
hey i am looking at the hideway but i don't see many places to eat that are resort causal for breakfast or lunch any ideas?
How often did you find that they did not enforce the adults only concept? The pool was loaded with kids. Looking for a truly adults only resort. Or do you have to have Diamond Club and use the Diamond Club pool for it to be truly adult only?
There were no children present in the Hideaway. However, the Hideaway is a small area within the Royalton resort. So the entire rest of the resort will have children. We did enjoy the Iberostar Grand for an adults only vacation. It is a little pricey but a wonderful and lavish adults only resort.
Was the beach good ? Was there lots of seaweed?
We were there for 11 days. The seaweed was nowhere near what we have seen in other videos. It never piled up on the beach but the water usually had little bits floating around. We were there for the 2 tropical storms and the earthquake in Haiti. The day after a storm there was a fair amount of seaweed washing up but it would be washed back out to sea at night. We did notice there was less seaweed on the Diamond Club side than on the Hideaway side. The seaweed is limited to a few feet from the ocean, the rest of the beach is wonderful sugar sand, the drinks are plentiful and the sun and surf are so relaxing we hardly noticed the occasional seaweed along the beach!
Thank you so much, also in the video at 8:45 where you are showing the bartender of Christian. Are all those liquors available to guest or are some only for diamond club members? I see some of my favourites in the middle row do you know if that is only for diamond club? I would assume the one’s at the very top are the most premium liquors.
@@Theo-hb2cb That beach bar is open to all guests. We did have the Diamond Club upgrade so I’m not sure if all those bottles were available without the upgrade.
