When I played this game, King Neptune was among the most difficult thing in a video game I've ever played. As well as inside the Spongebob robot in Battle for Bikini Bottom.
Neptune was no lie one of the best final bosses of all time. Epic rock music, fucking flamethrowers, lightning, actual strategy needed to win. You almost never see boss fights as great as this any more.
I sold my PS2 along with this game ages ago and I started having nostalgia towards this game so I started to watch a play through of it when I was in the car with my dad. He noticed and asked what I was watching so I told him and said “I can’t really afford a ps2 again so this is second best haha” and would you believe it 2 days later I head up to my room and there’s one laying on my bed with the movie game sitting on top. I love that man :)

I remember a glitch that happened on the third boss, where if you jump off the guy and fall in the water, you actually don't die and you just land in darkness with some kind of whirlpool in the middle. Was this just my game or did it happen to everyone?

I can only guess the cutscenes were from early storyboard art and the voice lines were early takes of the movie’s script... I mean, that’s how I’d do it...
I think the stalling/lockout scene would been better like the final boss level since Neptune has now been controlled by Plankton when SpongeBob and Patrick got back in the restauraunt:after being locked out,Mindy learns that the back door is still open,and she goes back into the restaurant just as Neptune is about to kill Krabs,Mindy appears and defends Krabs from her father's wrath,Neptune,now ever more angered that Mindy has escaped the carriage once again and found a way back inside,tells her to move out of the way. Finally,had enough of her father's judgements,she calmly and nicely proceeds to call him off for being a ruthless,stubborn,overly-strictand hot-tempered king,not having any compassion for the sea creatures,and going too far with his law enforcements by executing someone who was innocent,much to Plankton's horror and Krabs' joy(he smiles at Mindy for defending him). then she finishes him off by being grateful that your crown is being returned. Neptune,both horrified and angry that his daughter finally stood up to him,becomes mad at her for defying him and he proceeds to move Mindy out of the way by moving her with his trident and just as he begins to fry Krabs,Plankton had enough of the bickering,decideds to take dramatic measures by deciding to control Neptune so he can kill Krabs on his own,not until SpongeBob and Patrick finally arrive with his crown.

This game was FUCKING awesome!!!The soundtrack was well done,the final boss was challenging ,and it even had awesome minigames!!! Too bad that my PS2 has bitten the dust.I"ll try to play it on my GameCube.
