This is the BEST tree cutting video EVER! When Buckin' Billy lays that 797 down to make the notch/ wedge at 4:05 min, OMG it is freakin' perfect!!! If McCulloch EVER needed an advertisement for a Woodman saw, this is it. What a BEAST - the 797 and Buckin' Billy! Thank you!!!
I absolutely love your enthusiasm regarding tree cutting and life. Took me back to my youth and middle age taking down up to 48-inch diameter trees with (1977)16 inch (bar) Stihl and (1971) 24 inch (bar) Homelite saws used through 2006 on an occasional enjoyable basis. I was all self-taught with no injuries. With degenerative disc disease in my back and neck now, I can only watch although I am still very mobile on my own two legs. It is extra special that you have your son out with you too! I will be looking forward to more of your videos!
this by far the best cut down video ever. Am a 74 year old life long timber guy starting off with a McCullough too. Good job breaking in the youngster. Hey, keep up the work. Henry.
I like hearing the lessons and thought/plan that goes in to cutting each tree and the after action report to see what went right and what they could be better doing next time. It doesn't matter how much you already know you can always learn something from Buckin, super smart experienced feller. Keep making great videos
I'll say it again , Billy your a good Teacher ! Hogan, I worked with my Dad from 1969 to 2005 ! Dads can be tuff on us ,but they want us to be safe & to know the best & the safest way to get the job done ! Hogan , I'm glad your out there with Dad !
You helping that kid out brought a tear to my eye... i wish my dad would have helped me out on 1 thing the way you helped him cut that tree.... your a good man.
BBR: what always surprises me anew is your dead accuracy to put your cuts with. No correction, no slant cuts, same length cutting trunks to pieces, whatever you do - dead on track. Chapeau! And not to forget - love and Kindness 🔥👌🌲
Buckin! I loved the Father Son felling practice, and the way you were teaching him and giving him your genious advice. I'd love to see more of those videos! It warmed my heart ❤ Love you Guys!
I enjoy watching an arborist that knows his stuff. I've been working trees 47 years now and seen 1000's of jacklegs. It's a pleasure to watch you work and actually enjoy it.
I’m a novice woodsman, and seeing you teach your son at the end of the video really helped me address some of my own issues that i have when I’m felling trees. I feel like seeing another beginner in the process of learning was very helpful and encouraging. I love the positive energy and hard earned wisdom you bring to these videos, keep up the great work!
John from Tasmania here My dad used a super pro 125 c w ith a 30 inch bar for 10 years. We still have It, it sits with pride in my brothers Stihl shop A mac 850 for scrubbing when he had to get a falling licence the instructor asked him how long had he been using a saw and his reply was (since they made them ) he kept the 5 men alive in his gang for 40 years. Stay safe and as dad always said he would rather carry house power than wait for it. Don’t cut them off the stump
Been climbin' for the last three months with a badly broken thumb on my saw hand....so, no comments.....but I had to check in and say I love you Buckin'!
My dad had a McCullough saw about that size when I was a young lad in the early sixties a seventies I miss those days of old my dad has gone on to be with God great to see your videos.
It seems in the short time since your "boy" started working with you he's matured a great deal. He is becoming a wise man. Before he just wanted to do it now he seems more willing to listen and learn from a man more experienced than himself. That is a wonderful thing to see. Congratulations to the two of you.
I think that the best day of my life was when I overheard my son saying things I would tell him, to others, like "a man is only as good as his tools" and then the frequent "Thanks Dad"
Hey Buckin! So freaking awesome what you are doing with the channel, every video changes me just a little bit, being kinder every day. Love the teaching bits with Hogan, by putting up for all to see you are teaching so many people. Love it man! Keep it up!
With all these messages of love and kindness I thought "What is wrong with you?" but then I quickly realized I should be asking "What is right with you?" I love the videos, and if you come back to Indiana for another Buckinstock I'll be sure to come. Unfortunately I missed the last one by a month.
Don't worry, you're not an over protective dad because you want your son to learn things the safe way. After all, you know the risks first hand so it would be foolish not to point this out and be clear about it because that's the only way he will learn without injuring himself. When he's our age and looks back on his life so far he can only be grateful having a dad like you. I only know I'm proud of my dad of what he did and what he didn't do when I was young. It just takes time to realize those kind of things I guess... So just keep teaching and correcting him, in the end he'll find his own way and I can't think of anything else that he'll be a great person like you are. Thanks for sharing!
Buckin your so happy using that saw , Thankyou sir for sharing this wonderful video Letting us see the Cummins mcculloch at work with momma playing in t(e background awesome 👍👍🇬🇧
