it's a crime this anime didnt get more. if Ga-Rei was animted today it would be really unique and do really well I think, so long as they dont censor it to hard.... it would be a breath of fresh air in all of these isekai animes we have now.....

It is, and if anyone wants more, read the manga, there is a reason they decided to tell the past of yomi and kagura, because it plays of big in the manga which is also a great read, with a more satisfying ending than the anime.
If i could thumb down i would but that is no longer a feature of youtube. Dead people don't come back to life, stop worshiping dragon balls and holy grails. Yomi wanted to protect Kagura, even if it meant protecting her from herself, leave it at that, fans and authors be damned.
Yep. Yomi is "dead", and all that happened in manga at the end was by this anime. I mean, they wanted to promote the manga but the author realise that Yomi and her dynamic with Kagura were better than the dynamic that had his main character, and started to "revive" Yomi. But the end was... a disaster to me. Anime>Manga

whenever i see this, i cry. i can't help. yet i still come back and watch it over and over again. this story really was very sad.
Surprising the prequel is so much more emotionally powerful and better plot than the sequel. Can't stop listening to this song!!! Cried so damn hard.
