these are an absolutely incredible sounding speaker. even in a ported box they have clean bass like it is sealed. lets hope peerless doesnt drop it in a year like they do EVERY product they make.
This model has two different specification sheets, with discrepancies in the values of "Vas" and "Xmax". What is the correct brochure, or what is the correct information?
I believe there are 2 models 830-875 and P830875 The latter is the newer and worse one that I have heard of coil failures and inductance value differences I am hoping to find more of the original ones. Got them at Parts Express many yrs ago, and should have bought a dozen or 2
indopleaser well its not fire proof. This cone is a blend of paper and nomex. Because nomex is a harder materier, stronger than paper they use it for better performance, eliminating cone brakeups and so on.
+AudioStatus I can't imagine them being any better the bass and mid-range is incredible I'm coming from brax graphic pro tt6. for the price these can't be beat!
jason jordan oh believe me. It's a non comparable diference. That's why i stoped purchasing car branded speakers. They are way overpriced. I can talk about this disscusion for hours. Have tried hundereds of them
I made a pair of MTMs with these...FANTASTIC drivers!!
Is it true theres a newer version that is not as good with a lesser coil?

can you tell me how a dyton speaker, compares to a pearless? in sound quality, i am trying to decide witch brand i should pick for a personal project
Dayton has some pretty good speakers, but i would go with peerles, or better Scan Speak :)
@@AudioStatus Cant argue with this
Ive been looking for a replacement speakers for my Warfedale diamond 9 book shelf speakers , it looks like it would fit with that frame notched out
Well i think these ones would not fit. You need 5.25 inch as i believe, and even then it would be bit expensive.
is nomex fire proof and thats it? right

Rough cone but great sound@@AudioStatus
these are amazing speakers for car audio. the sound is detail and clear much better than any car audio speaker
Thats right. For the price they are really good.
But if you have more money Scan speak 18w4531 or the 18WU4741 is the way to go
