Yet I haven't seen a reactor watch a single *ITV* drama ever, as they're only interested in: British Sitcoms - Mainly by the BBC and Channel 4. British Dramas - Which have been distributed by Netflix or HBO outside of the UK.

Those shows had been going for 10, 20, 30+ years, and were still love by the public as shown by viewing figures and the polls, but Peter Fincham cancelled them all.
Fun Fact: Peaky Blinders was a real British Gang. Historians claim that the word "peaky" was often used to describe any flat cap with a peak while blinder was and remains a term for a well-dressed individual in Birmingham slang.

Considering the real Peaky Blinders were founded in the 1880s and were taken over by Billy Kimber by 1910 the name clearly predates the introduction of these razors. Also the whole Billy Kimber thing isn't a spoiler for the show as the show changes some things.
My best friend is a direct descendent of one of the gang - Harry Fowles. Youll see him if you search the peakys on wikipedia, theres a great Birmingham historian by the name of Carl Chinn, himself related to one of the gang. Please take time to watch some of the videos hes created, very fascinating.

The writing in this show is phenomenal and because the seasons are so short there's not a single wasted episode or scene, everything has substance and meaning! And the cinematography is outstanding! You boys are in for a treat, especially when a certain character makes his appearance in season 2 😉

Sometimes two tunnels jointed and the man had to fight man to man. You should watch some "Flanders Fields battles" documentaries before continuing to watch this show.....to understand the kind of man Tommy is...
I suspect there is a communication between a lot of the larger reaction channels to exploit the algorithm as much as possible. Might be fringe-conspiracy-theory territory but if it was me I sure as Hell would.

This makes me happy. This is one of the best television series ever made. In my opinion. Pay attention to the details fellas. There’s a bunch of small details that make the story so much more deep.
Like the fact that practically everyone from stuff like *Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, Happy Valley, Emmerdale, Harry Potter, The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings* and *Peaky Blinders* has filmed in my city, most of which have filmed in a building just 1.5 miles down the road from me in *Bradford* the world's first *UNESCO City of Film* which is used for at least 17 different locations in the show.
The cinematography is amazing in this show as you keep going. The slow motion shots. The angles during conversations. When they hold on to Tommy's face intently listening but not giving anything away, his pauses before he speaks - he defines power. Almost like The Godfather
This damn show's attention to details is crazy you can see the years passing by with the changes happening to the cars and electronics and the factories changing their products they producing in the bar's area😮
I remember hearing an interview with a Birmingham local historian who wrote a book on the Peaky Blinders; apparently, his grandfather was one of them. He was very clear on two points: 1. Historically, they did become powerful enough that they were able to influence the racing up at Aintree, but after that, the show DEFINITELY deviates from history. 2. As happy as he was that Cilian Murphy had made the Brummie Accent sexy, he wanted to hammer home the point that the Peaky Blinders were violent, dangerous men. Which is probably true of every romanticised gang.
Loved watching with Nikki and Steven and now I am thoroughly enjoying it with these guys. I love how they think about it and discuss it afterwards. The waits between episodes might kill me!
This is one of my favorite shows of all time. I picked it up randomly during the pandemic because I was bored and the same as Oak and Quinn I was immediately put off but stuck with it out of boredom. Odd music and strange heavy accents without much immediate plot progression had me worried. But it quickly got interesting, I began to understand the speech with ease without subtitles, and every single season is better than the last and I genuinely mean that. One of the few shows that actually expands and delves into the season before while adding new elements in each season. Cillian of course kills it but so does Paul Anderson as Arthur, and of course Helen McCrory as Aunt Pol and so many others that gave a fantastic performance. This is gonna be a favorite I think for you guys.
Several of the exterior shots were filmed at the Black Country Living Museum which is just a few miles away from me. So to see somewhere I've walked myself appear in this show was quite strange at first.
Im gonna say it, this is the best acting ive seen in any movie or show thats come out during my life time (2004 and forward) its honestly so fucking good

The hilarious thing is, to British ears, that is quite a light Birmingham accent 😆 Also, the 'Peak' in Peaky Blinders refers to the News Boy caps they wear, while the 'Blinders' is a double entendre, meaning a Sharply dressed man and also, refers to the Razor Blades they sew into their Caps to use in fights.

Black Country is the area to visit which is close to Birmingham but the accent is similar but much stronger slang.
The hilarious thing is, to British ears, that is quite a light Birmingham accent 😆
Also, the 'Peak' in Peaky Blinders refers to the News Boy caps they wear, while the 'Blinders' is a double entendre, meaning a Sharply dressed man and also, refers to the Razor Blades they sew into their Caps to use in fights.

The accents being so thick is why I couldn't get anybody to watch this show with me lol, they all kept tapping out early in the first episode! I love the accents though, and the show is BRILLIANT once you can understand what's going on.
The accents are very very mild.
They toned them down for the show.
Possibly the greatest achievement of this show is that it convinced the world that Brummie accents are sexy.
