Iris is a favorite note, and I'm really looking forward to trying this. I'm usually put off by carroty iris accords utilized in some iris perfumes, but I think that it's perhaps a matter of blending. Carrot seed oil is quite pungent and piercing, and it smells like straight-up boiled carrots and dirt to me, but I'm sure that done right, it can add an earthy iris note without morphing into an Irish stew.
Not the biggest fan of iris but really like violates and jasmine. This stuff sounds gorgeous and I love oud infini by Dusita , I'm sure it's just as stellar quality wise. 👌

Was just mentioning on Yana's channel how much more appealing iris is to me in perfumery than the scent of the actual flower, so I could definitely see myself enjoying this one, especially with all the other florals. Don't know if I'd wear it to be honest, but just to sniff now and again, it could be a winner. Can't get enough of that colour!
Very expressive & informative in regards to the notes in relation to the description . Ambergris = shimmer/sparkle , musky . Very easy to understand. Thank you. Yes, Pissara does put a different spin to her perfumes silk. Where is she by the way ? She used to stop by . Well , she is very busy with her line and boutique. Sounds like a wonderful fragrance. I have never heard of Dusita before today. The color of the juice instantly made me think of slate by bananna republic. So much so I opened the maturation box and put my nose on it. On a day like this 72 degrees and sunny with a slight breeze slate really delivered the goods, I had to spray it and I did.. without shame. It is soft and elegant, unisex leaning feminine but I dont even care it smells so wonderful on a day like this.

I could almost imagine how this one smells from your vivid description, except I don't believe I've ever smelled carrot seed oil before, so what that one is like has me stumped I must admit! But it sounds like a very lovely perfume and that color is so beautiful, too. Great review!

To me, it smelled of an overdose of beta methyl ionone paired with other ionones, even the woody aspecs I'd link to the beta methyl ionone, with faint cedar aspects (maybe from woody amber molecules?) joining later. To me it also had some fluffy white musk aspects, though no musk is listed. It is quite nice (but not for/on me), but I have to admit, I expected something more natural. Funnily I also had some fibre impression, but I was thinking more of velvet. You should get yourself some carrot seed oil, it's a lovely material and has more layers than one might think, beside the earthiness and the carroty aspects (which are the reason why this material is used in iris accord, because a natural iris butter or concret can have quite some carrot like aspects, which are not present if one solely blends some ionones), there are fruity, woody, powdery facets to it, and though I have not read or heard from others who had a similar impression, I do get a faint vegetable muskiness (like in ambrette seed absolute). It smelled lovely when I tested a 5% dilution on my skin (something I do with most new materials I get, just to get a hint how it will behave with my skin chemistry, smelling it on a strip is just not enough), yet so far I have only used it in small amounts in compositions, mostly in vintage style leather and/or musk experiments. Or in a perfume I blended for my mother for Mother's Day (which as well was loaded with beta methyl ionone, beside an iris butter recreation from Symrise and musk molecules like Habanolide, Helvetolide and muscenone, to name the main components).

I sniffed along with your review Peter, have sprayed my arm and completely agree with your assessment, in particular the lotion like creaminess, to me it’s like I’ve washed with a really expensive white bar of soap then applied a rich creamy lotion.
This one sounds gorgeous I wish it was easier to sample dusita perfumes there doesn’t seem to be any UK suppliers, the shipping costs from the official dusita website are massively expensive I think the sample pack including shipping is €96 yikes
I've tried this one, yeah it's beautiful indeed! Agree on that femininity touch, but personally I have no problem to wear splendiris, if someone gifted it to me haha :)

Abel - Pink Iris, has a similar tonality, but uses a soft natural musk isolate in the base, instead of going in to woods and ambergris! But has the same kind of feelings and fits the same seasons
*Hate* purple sweet flowers. Anything with orris with jasmine or iris on it ew :( Sounds like Halloween from Del Pozo. That one is tolerable. Notes of Halloween Casablanca magnolia, violet notes, seductive tuberose spiced with pepper notes. The base is milky - warm with sandalwood, aromatic incense, myrrh and Madagascar vanilla (according to fragrantica)

Sounds like right up my ally. I do like fragrances that lean slighty fem like Chanel Misia for example.
I found it way better than Misia, so give it a try (though none of them are to my taste) ;)
