I like that Bruce shines through when throwing the Batarang to Dick and Tim. He might be sharing/losing the steering wheel with Zur, he still is there a bit.
That is honestly great but what frustrates me is Bruce never checks himself till it's too late.
No matter what Zur an Ar is apart of himself that he released. And Bruce having a my way or the highway attitude is not something new.

2. Loved the feeling that dick Jason Tim and even Damian despite fighting their still brothers
3. So it’s definitely zur slow taken control or funneling the information to Bruce messing with his logic
4. I’m not sure I like the idea of everything blowing up in everyone face but Bruce when batman inc and other stories of Batman training up defenders was a thing
The one thing I didn't like in this issue was tim agreeing that he could never take Damian in a fight it's like all his training went nowhere since he's almost treated like he's at the same level as Stephanie.
It's been established for a long time that in terms of combat Tim is the weakest Robin. He focuses more on intellect where he is arguably one of the family's best detectives.
He even lost to Damian when they 1st met. And to Jason several times

Again he is the smartest. Not the best fighter among the Robins. Tim has noted his insecurity about this very topic multiple times

Remember Nightwing 100 Batman and Nightwing moment, pretty much any Red Hood arc after Rebirth or even wrorse. Catwoman and Batman history, specially during his exile from Gotham after Bane took over? This is such a dumb thing to happen after that. That's the problem with comics too big for their own good, one issue of a series the characters are thretating each other as family on the other they revert back like 20 years of development.
Honestly can't wait this arc to be done. This whole event is super lazy and it just sucks huge donkey balls 😂
It is kinda cool that this fight was essentially Batman and Robin vs Batman and Robin but they traded Robins. Like Tim was Bruces Robin and Damian was Dicks Robin. I also really like that Tim and Dick actually did win and would have settled this situation but they only got restrained because they couldn't agree on what their next steps were going to be.
Not gonna lie. I don’t like this story too much. Batman had gotten over this failsafe bull after that bit with the justice league. He would never do this to Jason.

Dick and the others agreeing with Catwoman is probably the weakest and dumbest writing plot in a Batman book. Like really? Have we not read Joker War? Bane War? Jokes and Riddles? Scarecrow War? Like its the same thing the difference is now everyone is acting outof character.
Hate how they're writing everyone. Hate the idea of Zur. Hate them constantly corrupting Batman. Hate Catwoman supposedly being the good guy. This story may make me give up new comics.

Batman doesn't want to ever change tactics so there was always going to be an eventual scenario where the Batfamily fight for 'a peaceful future' for Gotham in a way that doesn't align with 'the endless mission' of Bruce's.
Catwoman was in a unique position of being both hyper knowledgeable of the Gotham underworld and good terms with the Batfamily most of the time. She's happy to throw most of the genocidal criminals in Gotham under a bus.

@@patrickmcguire7896It honestly doesn't matter if you think its stupid, putting most of the supercriminals in Arkham and expecting them not to get out is already 100x more insane and stupid and Batman has on occasion admitted it.
Catwoman's plan was working well on cutting off the legs of the criminal underworld and lowering the death rate dramatically, something the Batfamily would literally be stupid not take advantage of, and the plan could of been improved upon if Bruce allowed them to pool their resources and put their heads together, but Batman refused to sit down for a single moment.
-Batman refused to do the bare minimum.
-Batman refused to even warn the the Batfamily that Vandal Savage, often a Justice League level threat, was in Gotham.
-Batman knew his mental guards around Zur-en-ar were weakening and he did nothing.
Everything bad that happens next is completely on Batman. On his best days, Batman is a true hero that can look on a situation with a calm head. On his bad days, he's an obsessed maniac that is FAMOUSLY inflexible. Its something he's needed to come to terms with for a LOOOOONG time coming.
Honestly Standard is a format that benefits people w/ the most optimal deck.
Sure each format has obvious best decks but in standard. It’s like willistra or why then before that there was some more builds but some were more obvious that others on what to play.

I hate the "violent crime is down 75%" argument. It reminds me of Secret Empire saying Hydra Cap's regime has numbers saying they're doing good things. Are they actually showing how Catwoman's plan is good or just telling the reader it's good enough for moral ambiguity.
I honestly think it's to highlight Batman's goals moving forward. Not justifying Selina but hear me out:
Yes Selinas plan is very flawed. But so is Bruce's mission to end crime. Cause all we've seen is beat up --> Arkham --> repeat. Obviously he's done more with his wealth and has had heart warming moments as Batman but overall this is the standard
If he doesn't want to kill that's fine. If he doesn't want to do it Selinas way that's fine too. But we can't keep using the same formula that also doesn't work.
Bruce needs to adapt and find a new answer and justify why it's better than senseless killing or letting some crime off the hook
@@maliklofton9148 Honestly thinking Batman drugging Jason could be a solution to repeating the cycle of repeat criminals who aren't permanently stopped because "it's comic books". Less people suffer (so far) than with Selina's plan of robbing rich people who have every right to defend themselves, and targets bigger problems then replaceable henchmen.

If his mission is to end crime he needs to go about it another way instead of doing the same thing. Selinas method is flawed but lowering the crime rate is noteworthy.

One Thing I Didn’t like about this issue is How Bruce just turns away from Nightwing after Knocking him out giving him time to recover.
He completely threw the fight dropping his Guard like that and letting Dick recover.
I guess it kind of makes sense since he’s not in his right mind, But still weird.

He was disappointed and feeling betrayal from his sons
On top of that he was trying to hold back Zur to protect his kids of this unhinged monster

But the price is going higher. Batman "going too far" sounds like a good alternative to "some crime is fine for lowering violent crimes by 75%". Considering Jason's history of going back and forth on being good or murderous like an Arkham's doors, a more permanent solution seems expected and possibly reasonable.

I think the point of no return has been Grant Morrison's absurd run and all the insane things that happened there like Batman implanting a different persona in himself (like he is the freaking professor Hugo Strange) or going against Darkseid.
From that point on Batman's comics went downhill to Scott Snyder, to the absolute abomination of Tom King and the sequence of "Gotham has been taken down by "insert name of a Batman villain" and Batman has to save the city" events.
Bring back Chuck Dixon, Doug Moench or Paul Dini

@@badyoutuber1986 i've read just the first issue and yeah the art is a bit off (what is happened to my father Jim Gordon?) but the story seems good.
I have some perplexities for Crytoon, a very interesting concept and the use of cartoon slapstick as a gimmick is phenomenal for a joke themed villain but i think Grampa could go further with the design than just the "guy in a trench coat" type.
I just hope to see something more in the next issues because otherwise it risks to be just another generic Batman story

@@badyoutuber1986 the fact is that Batman is not a Syfy hero, it's simple as that.
Batman is a detective so he works in detective stories like Question or Sandman (the Wesley Dodds Sandman).
You can work with some adventure stuff (like Dennis O'Neil did in the 70's with Ra's al Ghul) or horror stuff (like Doug Moench in general) but you have to know how to properly work with them: that's why Batman going against Scarecrow in Kings of Fear works while Batman going against zombies don't (yeah people love the Court of Owls but let's be honest a secret society of wealthy people in Gotham controlling the city from the shadows and a bunch of owl themed frozen/unfrozen ninja zombies go well together as Brian Michael Bendis and Superman).
If i want to read pure Syfy stuff i read Green Lantern or Superman not Batman.

This is the most a** backwards story I've read from DC in a while: which is saying something bc they've been on a roll-- albeit downhill-- for some time now. Everyone's motivations are trash, and nothing makes sense and only happens bc the plot demands it to. Now they introduce the bigger players and at this point it's like "does it even matter, really?"
Late to the party, but I'm pretty sure Dick should have said something like, "Imagine a world where Joe Chill robbed an empty mansion, instead of robbing people in an alley."

God this run is great. I love that it isn't forcing itself to stick with the base premise of "batman fights catwoman" but actually shows the complexity of the issue and lets the characters go off a beaten track. Including Zurr and Vandal puts it on another level

Yeah I mean it is true Batman and Catwoman sometimes have their problems but their not mortal enemies besides she is not a killer she cares for him ad she also cares for the Robins well mostly Dick and Jason and Batman knows Jason's drug issues
Most I expect for Catwoman's side getting punished is them admitting they're idiots when their little thieves guild end up using their skills to commit violent crimes more efficiently for another villain, probably Vandal Savage though any villain could cause the same problem.

Previous Universe or are we talking about Flashpoint Thomas. Fun thing is, this is a Batman who has ALL of his pre crisis memories and reboot and new 52 memories involved as well.
Plus after the multiverse events he even mentally connected with every Bruce Wayne across space time from even the shows as he came across them.
So aside from thinking of himself as slightly weaker, this is probably Batman at his peak and beyond.

crusty ass thomas shouldnt be able to beat nightwing. youre actually asking the question in reverse. it makes sense that dick is only somewhat worse than bruce and since this is more unhinged bruce its not like hes in his a game
Bad Writing
Cassandra Cain and/or Nightwing would be enough; Batman has said it himself.
The only reason that flash point Version won is because plot. That's why tom king had to do it off panel And make it umclear as to how exactly he did it.
This Writer's not even doing that.
thomas won due to bad writing, the fact that bruce got out of there was a plothole cassandra cain alone is enough to beat him let alone the whole family together
