Nash deserved that MVP 🐐
Be honest Kobe deserves it, Kobe dropped 81 this season and averaged 35 a game the entire season with not much of a supporting cast around him while Nash had a supporting cast around him, so if anything Kobe deserved this mvp
@@calebstewart7358 Kobe was the 7th seed though
MSR 2703 doesn’t matter what seed ur are Kobe deserves it more cuz he performed well in the regular season more that Nash
THAN*
Caleb Stewart Steve Nash carried the team to the third seed without Kurt Thomas and Amare Stoudemire due to injuries. Boris Diaw was their center, and Nash led the league in APG. Kobe sure did score a lot more but the Lakers were only in the 7th seed.
2006 was the purest basketball year. It really felt like anybodies league. Kobe didn’t have shaq, Steve Nash was in his prime, Dwayne wade was in his prime, Tracy and Yao, emergence of lebron. Good times.
Yep. I'm a spurs fan and that year losing to the mavs in the 2nd round sucked after winning the title in 2005. I miss this era of basketball.
2019/20 felt the same till coronavirus happened
Pistons and Spurs played great team ball too! Come on how are you gonna forget the two best teams lmao
Spencer Cranmer u right spurs and piston too. I forgot the mavs also. Too much greatness for one post.
Adam Johnson such an underrated era the early 2000’s took away from the great teams from 04-10 those teams the Lakers and Spurs swept weren’t that good tbh
Wait.. the clippers made the playoffs in 2006 ?.... Holy shit lmao
Only little kids like you didn't know that.
Dominic Decoco yep Elton brand Chris Kaman and Cuttino Mobley were the anchors of that team. They pushed Phoenix to 7 games that year and almost went to the WCF. This team also had a young Shaun Livingston before his horrific knee injury
ooh, you're so badass cause you were born before certain other people.
thechocolate130 😂 The Clippers have been shit for the most part of their existence so if I didn’t know any better I would’ve thought they didn’t make the playoffs either
Dont underestimate Elton Brand like that you littl sh*t
boy oh boy how much do suns fans miss the shit out of steve nash in his prime?
To bad he never won a ring tho.
Personally, as a life time fan of the Suns, the Nash era in many ways was the best era in the history of the franchise.
He personified what being an unselfish team player was, always making his teammates better, always finding the best way to utilize his strengths on the court.
He was a great community guy, an outstanding person off the court.
It's not often that one guy can turn the whole franchise around. He's missed, and the franchise has suffered greatly since he left.
+mooree271982 Im from cleveland, so ive always liked the cavs, but anywhere nash played whether it was dallas or phoenix, I was a huge fan of those teams cuz eventhough they were lackluster on D, they were a shit ton of fun watchn all that fast breakin, runn and gunnin, makin sharp efficient decisions at a breakneck speed and avergin around 110 pts a game. it was sad seein him in that ugly laker uniform playn with ballhog kobe and bein a shell of his former self but he's definately one of the all time favorite athletes to ever watch.
The wrong team won the chip that year
@@willthomas2310 ran into the Spurs basically every year in their prime while he was on the suns unfortunately and ofc that series against Kobe
steve is one greatest point gaurds dat didint win a ring but still had a hall of fame career
Elton Brand dominated the Suns to a higher extent than Kobe did... 31ppg, 10rpg, 4apg, 3bpg, 59 FG%, 63 TS%.
i forgot how good elton brand used to be.....dude would body people
Ryan Dupont
At my old high school he stills holds the record for ppg (42.4)
Apples and oranges, you're comparing a power forward to a shooting guard.
People seriously don't understand he could have averaged 30 if he wanted to he was really that good of a scorer
He was a calculated scorer, even after retirement he said he wished he shot the ball more.
nash was sooooooooooooooooooooooo good!
This is without Amare..Nash sure deserves that MVP.
suns fan good to see prime Nash
Classic . Could u make some Sam Cassell highlight for the series? He did great job in that series too.
More Steve Nash highlights please
3:38 that poster was RAW
snaem hell yeah it was! Jumping one step inside the free throw line and jamming on Chris Kaman who was a great two way player at the time. So awesome
Yeah marlon was nasty
more steve nash highlights please!
Steve Nash demonstrated MVP more than as a scorer... He deserved it, and sorry for Kobe indeed you are a scoring champ..
Imagine Steve playing at his peak in today's NBA, where shooting three's is half of the offensive plays for all teams. You're basically looking at what Steve would do just by watching Steph Curry. Their games emulate each other because Nash was Steph's favorite player growing up. But if Nash shot as many 3's per game as the average NBA point guards do today, Nash would go down as one of the greatest 3point shooters in history.. Steph Curry, known as the greatest three point shooter of all time has an other-worldly CAREER 3pt percentage of 43%... guess what Steve Nash's CAREER 3pt percentage was...43%!!! The only difference obviously is that Steph Curry shoots many more threes per game than Steve ever did. But in today's game, Steve Nash would literally emulate what Steph Curry is doing now, if he had shot the amount of 3's Steph does... Plus just like Steph Curry, Steve Nash is a wizard handling and passing the ball, and getting his teammates involved... he's an even a better passer than Steph Curry is... Steve Nash would be considered an even greater point guard than he is already known for..
The sweetest PG at that time
I mean he should have won 2 championships but he did get 2 MVP's going down in history!!
This Clippers team should be a throwback on NBA 2K18
Joel Villarreal why not?
Shoney Carpenter fuck no
I think he meant the Suns guys
Better throwback then the dumb 04-05 Grizzlies
@@Sk8ingBox you're dumb af
lakers fan here..mehn, Nash was great. Too good
Yes 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😃😃😃😃😃😃😀😀
Miss that surfer haircut that Nash had. One of the most fundamental players ever.
Yes 👍 and
nash is mvp
Who had better hair ? Steve nash or Chris kaman lol ?
thechocolate130 Neither.
Nash
It’s so interesting to see how often players used to spot up from the midrange back then. You’ll never see that now
HORRIBLE video quality!!! was this 2006 or 1956? cant watch it thru to the end.
The clippers won a playoff series in 06?! Completely fprgot abput that lol
The slimmest version of Boris Diaw
man what if Prime Steve Nash played with Devin Booker
bro what if prime nash played with prime kobe is the real question.
Marion on the boards 🔥🔥
Shaq brought me here
Livingston before the injury
Shaq was hating that year
You're thinking of the season before this one.
MVP NASH!
Devin Booker 🏜️🧡
How Nash win over Kobe and Wade? no hate as I was a sun's fan back in 06 but come on
RaixVortex Suns #2 seeds without Amare, Kobe #7 seeds, Wade has 20 and 10 Shaq in 06...
RaixVortex
LOL, Kobe and Wade? If anything, the winner should've been Dirk Nowitzki. He led the Mavs to 60 wins as the only star on his team. Wade only got 52 wins with Shaq on his side, and Kobe only got 45 wins.
It should've been either Dirk or Nash.
percentages look them up
Only 52 wins? LMAO
ינון חבר Dirk had Jason Terry with the rest of the Mavericks healthy, Nash had only Marion while Raja Bell went injured before the Mavericks finals, NASH EARNED IT
😀👍👍👍👍👍
No disrespect man.
But he robbed it from Kobe
How can u deserve mvp when u put up empty stats on a team that didn’t even make the playoffs , and then the 7th seed
@@MultiBluedog123 he got all the points lol
Nope
How sway?
Wade for mvp
Steve robbed Kobe of the MVP
nahhhh
Nope
Stupidity at its finest
The NBA MVP award lost all credit when they gave it to Nash twice. Over Kobe? Over Duncan? Over KG? McGrady?
EnduringArts
None of your guys deserved the MVP, or even had a case for it, in 2005 or 2006 (maybe except Kobe in '06).
In 2005 there was a really bad MVP race, and any winner (Nash or Shaq) would have been a default choice.
In 2006 it should have been either Nowitzki (my favourite) or Nash. Both of them posted great MVP-type numbers that year; Nowitzki led the mavs to 60 wins with no other stars on his team, while Nash led the Suns to 54 wins with Stoudemire injured for the entire season.
Nash earned that MVP, all of those guys didn't even get passed the first round and the fact Nash beat the Lakers, Clippers and went 6 against the Mavericks even without Raja Bell in the WCF, proved how much of a badass Steve Nash was... Top 5 Point Guard of all time!!!
Stupid. Kobe couldn't carry shit. Nash actually carried the team.
CHRISTEN Hoodie GRIFFIN Nash ain't in yo list?
CHRISTEN Hoodie GRIFFIN white chocolate over Nash... are you kidding??? That's blastphamey, ashamed to say he's not even a top 10. Top 5 PG for sure In my list.
robbed mvp
Robbed who?
Nash deserved it. Stop it.
Kobe deserved that MVP
