This is the lure/rig I want to use more of this season, and in the upcoming year. I agree with the floating baits (worms/craw/etc) working better in the colder waters so the bait just hangs there in front of their faces. Definitely harder to resist when it's right there. Thanks for the video Hank. #100percentwatchsquad
Hi buddy. I'm following you from the other side of the world. I also enjoyed watching this video. I made a device inspired by the older video you mentioned and this bright idea was; He even worked on the Mediterranean coast in Türkiye/Antalya. Since I couldn't find a floating soft bait, I glued a wooden bead to the tip of the needle so that it would rise up when I released it. Depending on my preference in soft bait, I caught Seabass, Sparus aurata, Lithognathus mormyrus, Diplodus sargus, Diplodus Vulgaris. I've been doing this for a long time. I didn't even reveal this technique of yours to my friends, I keep it like a secret and they all go crazy. They keep quiet and listen while I talk :)) I thank you. I wish you good luck bro. Greetings to you from Türkiye/Antalya.
I absolutely smoked them this year on the free rig, I love the OSP Dolive beaver when I’m using this technique. You’re absolutely correct though about using the buoyant baits it’s makes a difference when the bait has a slower fall rate. Thank you for the video Hank I can’t get enough of your channel, it’s been a game changer for me. I hope you have an amazing Christmas and get to spend time with your friends and family. 👍🙏 #HUNDOSQUAD
#100percentwatchsquad The free rig is a great option for showing those cold, finicky bass something different. There's a lot of good fish to be caught in winter if you're patient enough!
Have you noticed or have you tried with elastech baits like Zman or other companies, not texposeing your hook point and just keeping it buried in the bait? Seems if I texpose it, I miss more vs leaving the point inside. Theory being when the bite happens, more often the elastech is so tough, the point it has a hard time ripping the material vs just poking on through. Curious on your thought. #favoriteyoutuber
Hank, I love you perspective on instruction, however, could you through a little practical application and video footage into your videos?! Sorry, but I'd like to see some fishing based upon your recommendations, my friend.
It’s funny, I was thinking about how I prefer Hank’s videos because they are helpful and concise without a bunch of filler. I have been annoyed by a bunch of other content creators where you have to watch an hour of fishing to sort out 5 minutes worth of tips and tricks. It is always good to hear different perspectives
I do appreciate the feed back. I get it. The truth is I have 1 maybe 2 days a week to fish and film. I'm not full time doing this I still work a 50hr a week job. So sometimes it comes down to fishing or filming. Since fishing videos don't get watched I fish for 3-4 hours then film these videos to help you for 4hrs on the one day I get to be on the water. I live on TOUGH HEAVY PRESSURED LAKES I prefer not to show a lot of the places I catch fish because I don't want others to blow them out. It happens. Like I say I have a fishing video playlist with over 100 videos there is one where I catch fish on this rig. Watch it will help.
@BassGeek one of the lakes I fish has an insane amount of hydrilla! State record bass have been caught multiple times out of this lake. They stay deep in the grass! Very highly pressured! Multiple springs feed the lake with very little inlet water. Shallow and some ledges. Any recommendations?
I would focus on those deeper edges right now. Especially ones near drops or hard bottom like rock piles etc. Two or three things come together out deep.
Thank you for the tips and info that you share with us Hank I hope you and your family have a safe and happy holiday season. Merry Christmas to all!!
Thank you very much Mike and Merry Christmas sir.
Whew wee Hank and Mike another banger of a video. Thanks for all yall do. 💯% watcher
Thank you Mr. White. Hop you are doing well.
Too many fish to count😬
Enough to matter....

HELLOW TurkIye/Antalya! It is an honor to have you be part of the channel. Thank you!
Gonna definitely try this 👍
Remember this rig really isn't a replacement for a Texas rig or drop shot. It's really a rig you use to fish targets.
Great video Hank! Thanks for more great info! Appreciate you!
Thank you Mr. Williams. I Appreciate you sir.
Another one #100percentwatchsquad thanks Hank 🤙🏽🎣
#100ROCKS Than you Drew!

Merry Christmas keep after'em.
Great video
Thanks
Hey Hank, pretty new to free rigging. Appreciate these tips.#100percentwatchsquad👊
Just remember Dave this is very much a target rig. In my opining you throw it at something pop it a few times, reel it back in and do it again.
@@BassGeek thank you 👊
I gotta give the free rig a shot. Have never tried it. Thanks Hank
I use it to targe fish. I don't use it to replace a Texas rig or dropshot replacement.
I will definitely be giving this a try brother 🎣🔥❤
Ll
Hope ya catch a toad
Merry Christmas 🎁🎅🏻🎄🦌
lol I saw you holding a line up to something and thought you was lighting a M-80. I said, that'll catch them"
During the winter sometimes you just have to do what ya have to do! LOL
Free rig...I need to try it...#100watchsquad
It's sweet for sure sir.
Gonna try this Monday cause lord knows nothing else im doing and trying is working! And as always tanks for the video and info🎣 🙏😎
Thank you and I hope it does.

Yes sir you can keep it in one spot for ever.
Lets go
HELZ YEAZ
Try a grande bass air tail worm
I will!

YES! you have to leave it inside and just under the skin. You're right on sir.
7ft medium + 10lb braid to 6lb fluoro. What size weight were you using?
Depends on depth. I size up on this rig compared to Texas rig
How does a feller go about getting to fish with you? Asking for a friend…. 😆
@@DanielLong-d4w hahaha well we might be doing some of that in the upcoming year

Every thing takes time and sometimes there's not enough time to teach and practice. I sacrifice my time on the water for the benefit of others.
#100PWS
Thank you Bob! YOU DA MAN.
How would you fish that in thick hydrilla or would it even work? #100precentwatchsquad
It would have to be a hole, inside outside edge bait
