    It should have surprised no one that Missouri's D-line dominated OSU's offense. They have been dominating teams and knocking their QBs out of the game all season. Both LSU's Daniels, the Heisman winner and Georgia's Beck were roughed up, although they were able to come from behind and win late. OSU is lucky the score wasn't 28-3, had the officiating crew got the fumble in the first half right and Mizzou not kneeled on the ball deep inside the red zone with just under two minutes left in the game.

    • @dstrt8753
      @dstrt8753 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Their d line didn't dominate anything. They got pressure by blitzing. They did that because osu had an 18 yr old at qb that wasn't ready. Wich was smart. They got their only scores because osu's defense was wore down from the lack of help from their offense. If Devin brown doesn't go out, osu wins this game 20-3. Or worse. Unfortunately that's not how it played out, and that's part of the game.

      @@dstrt8753 Ohio St fans are the biggest clown show in America. Chalk up another team living rent free in your buckeye heads. Your #1 QB didn't care enough about you to play and your #2 got taken out by the Mizzou defense, which if you had a clue, you'd know that's what good defenses do. But since Ohio St fans don't appear to be among the smartest fans in college football, let me explain something else; championship teams have depth. If a starter goes out with an injury, or simply decides they don't want to be part of your team anymore, you have someone below them who is suppose to be as good as the starter. Did the Rams fold when Trent Green was oot for the season, or the Patriots and Drew Breeze? No, they won Super Bowls with "backups" Kurt Warner and Tom Brady. If you lack depth you aren't very good, are you?

      You're dreaming. OSU wasn't going to score with either of those QBs. B-10 offenses aren't talented enough to compete with the top of the SEC. That was a beatdown. Missouri owned OSU and it could have been much worse at 28-3.@@dstrt8753

    Arguing with Ohio state fans is useless. They expect championships and honestly i don't blame them. What Ohio state didn't understand is the transformation of a program. You can't talk about your Quarterback because mizzou played against quarterbacks all better than anyone who suited up for you with Georgia, THE HEISMAN TROPHY WINNER, Tenn, kstate, Memphis, etc... McCord was not better than brady cook. Harrison jr is not better than Luther burden. Our cornerbacks are 2 of the best in the nation. Our recievers are easily some of the best in the nation. Our D-line is always up there. We had the best running back in the nation this year. What Ohio state fans honestly didn't realize is mizzou does NOT look at ohio state like GEORGIA or LSU. Once this team played Georgia better than anyone in the NATION...twice...outside of bama latest win, it was WRAP...for ohio state. What ohio state doesn't realize is mizzou BARELY LOST THOSE 2 GAMES THIS YEAR. What they also didn't realize is the 6 games they should have won last year. We all get that ohio state is a historic program.....but what they don't understand is Miz made a complete transformation.....and if they improve...past the Gary Pinkel threshold...they're going to challenge for a natty. What Ohio state doesn't realize is mizzou can NOW PAY FOR PLAY....like ohio state has done for YEARS. If we keep our in state players and continue to add 3 stars from the south...we would smash ohio state. But I would not expect an ohio state fan to understand that....and honestly who could blame them..... i completely understand their nonsense about not having a quarterback....
    But you average quarterback was not better than the sec quarterbacks mizzou faced this year.
    And with all due respect....ohio state has 1, maybe 2 teams in the big 10 to get thru....each year.
    Either way... ohio state is by far a top tier program.
    Mizzou has simply made a transformation....and with NIL......it won't be hard to catch up.

    Ryan Day is a train wreck as a head coach. When will OS realize you don't hand the keys to a premium program over to a guy who has never before been a head coach? Main experience was at New Hampshire, Boston College and Temple as a position coach. Was Chip Kelly's pet and then comes to OS. Meyer gets in trouble and retires so he gets the job. When does the experiment end? The guy is a fraud and gets outcoached with superior players at every turn that matters.

      @@wC5151 Nice try. Ryan Day failed to improve the O Line after two years (it got worse from last year), he squandered outstanding talent on offense, his playcalling is inconsistent and poor, he lost three straight to Michigan, and he is like 1-7 against top teams. Ohio State is on the down turn unfortunately and its because of Ryan Day's stubbornness. The prognosis doesn't seem positive in my opinion. OSU should've lost to Notre Dame, trailed many times to inferior teams throughout the season, and now they have back-to-back seasons where they have lost the last two games.

I remember when bowl games actually mattered and we seen dream matchup outside of the national championship. Boise St vs Oklahoma is one of the best examples. Zero "opt puts, or transfers".. Just great football with the same players that played all year. Now in this era of CFB of you lose a big game *poof*, brand new team for the last game or 2 of the season and a completely different team for the bowl game. I don’t like osu at all, but this opting out, whether by transfer or just sitting, has made bowls all meaningless as they’re not representative of the same team that played the regular season.

If OSU lost 3 more key players, why as a coach or AD would you want to embarrass the school with a bad loss? Gamblers still watch (they probably liked the line, which favored OSU even after losing so much). This wasn't the 9 vs 7. More like 15 vs 30. Some bubble players play to get a little more NFL exposure, but the NFL knows that Ole MIss's QB is not really playing PSU's defense in front of a dead crowd. The AP poll should ignore bowl games. Even the commentators are apologize for bad play, when they used to pretend that teams were intact.

      This is now 100% a business for top players. Meaning they will play to fulfill their contracts, but if they have potential nfl contracts waiting, they would still be better off opting out of the tournament, especially considering it’s multiple extra games they don’t need to play. They should logically opt out of late regular season games as well once they have secured a high position in the mock drafts. It’s just a matter of time before this starts happening.
      My guess is that college programs will ultimately have to start using contracts like any other pro athletics do. Meaning we pay you and you play ALL the games. Because as it stands, the athletes are paid and they don’t even have to play. So the colleges are getting left out. This will have to be fixed eventually.

      Not just that the osu coach told McCord he would not be the man next year .and this is because they thought brown was better.tom Brady could have been the qb but the oline was getting man handled no qb wins that game running for their lives

    I wouldn't put too much stock in beating a team when they have no quarterback and you have all the weapons that got you there. They had a good season but it took a 61 yard field goal with no time left to beat a big 12 also ran.

    • @ftc82076
      @ftc82076 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You win at the line of scrimmage You pound the hole and humiliate the defense. If a guy’s a qb at Ohio state he can throw a ball So boo hoo on getting beat on the line. That’s football

    • @ftc82076
      @ftc82076 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As for the field goal it’s called momentum. Good teams get better over 13 games. Or maybe they think they deserve to win

      Mizzou was missing their top 3 defensive players. Every team is missing guys right now. But it depends how the guys who are there respond. Mizzou responded better, had better depth, more heart, and took the win

      OSU= overrated cry baby losers every year. They need to put on the tight skirts and bend over for hubby and get spanked because that is all the Suckeyes are. The funny part is they allow themselves to get embarrassed year after year. A real team like Alabama is well coached by a man who has pride in himself and works extra hard to prepare for big games every year. OSU doesn't have that pride in their program. They are losers.

  • @Central_Media3656
    @Central_Media3656 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Let us not get too carried away...that OSU team was a mess. Also, this B1G - SEC matchup was about as boring as it gets. Certain media types keep hyping up these two conferences as the be all end all for CFB (they have their reason$), and the product we saw on the field, was just horrid. Proof we need more than 2 or even 3 conferences.
