The half sole work you do is incredible, and your edge finishing is perfection. I'd love to have a pair of those engineers that look like your finished product! Sadly, everyone on eBay wants an arm, a leg, and your firstborn child when it comes to price on any Red Wing engineer in my size.
Thanks Man, Unfortunately they’re hard to get , If you ask me I would prefer to buy them New, some times eBay sellers don’t specify the real conditions of what they’re selling, this was the case with this particular pair of boots, the client thought they were good, because of the soles, but they are definitely not the original soles these 2268 come with.

However, you just brought that pair of engineer boots that have lived a strange life back from the dead. They where boring and utilitarian and now they've got a John Lofgren look to them. I'm surprised some got a wedge sole put on a pair of 2268's, they're quite expensive and sought after in the red wing community.

I a pair of used ones on marketplace for 55 bucks. I will admit they are hard to break in but man the leather is thick
