Watching from Mtius - had it not been for this video of Madan Gowri, I would not have been aware of this. Gang rapes have already brought disgrace to India on many occasions, releasing these 11 people on the 75th independence day is such a bad example Gujarat is setting. This is not just a failure against women, but also shows that Gujurat clearly has no place and respect for non-Hindus. My personal opinion is that India might still be the largest democracy, but only surface area-wise, it is now massively failing in being a true democracy and failing its citizens. I would be interested to know if NGOs for women are protesting this release or are they looking at the ethnicity of the victim? I sincerely hope TN State treats all its people with equal respect.
