I am from Kerala, i have faced such issues when i was studying in a reputed private school, during the year 2005 to 2013 .
My father is a farmer, i belong to a middle class family but still my father afforded to give me a convent education. But other students parents were highly educated and employees. Because of this reason my teachers hated me.I don't know y. They deliberately make me fail in exams. They insult me inside the staff room and verandas. They also made character assisination for talking to boys. They cornered me among other students. My own classmates didn't talked to me for being a farmer's daughter. I have cried alot. I even decided to move to govt skl. But my parents supported me. They stood with me. Now i studied MA, B. Ed and am a Teacher. Thanking my parents for being a great support in my life ❤️🙏🏻

I had faced a similar kind of situation. In my final year 7th semester I used to go to college a bit late because I used to be a bit slow, immersed into depression I was going through... At max 15 mins only.. But in rest of the things and rest of the times I would be prompt in my works like record submission, assignment etc., one day one of the profs who was taking the 1st session was there before even I went to class.. I stood in the door itself seeking his permission to let me in... He could've just warned and let me in.. Instead in front of everyone in the class, he told me that I'm fit for nothing in this world 😢... No one knows how much it was painful.. Already I was in someother depression this added on to it.... But I seriously got triggered of that incident.. I sat for placements at that sem and got placed into 2 companies ( CTS & Infosys ).. Why I did this was, the students who are not placed in any of the companies are also very badly treated in our college...And I was not ready for any more humiliation.. 😢

I also studied in reputed institution which is famous for freedom. But now the current management is following similar trend of moulding students . I loved my college in my time period for the freedom and responsibility it gave and moulded us a good leader. But today in the name of guidance or discipline they are literally moral policing by bringing fear to all students mind that not to question anything . Training the younger generations to simply adapt, adjust, accept in the name of moulding

Actually I want to share an incident. I'm from Coimbatore.
This problem is not only with one college or it doesn't stop with one person. Each and every individual students faces the same issues in different ways in each college (even whether if it is esteemed institute or college or university)
Even one month back I had the same issue with my HOD where even i thought of going somewhere or end my life. But thankgod today I'm alive, I somehow managed and changed my decision. But if I think I'll be the one like Shraddha back a month ago😢.
I'm a MSc student somehow bound back but think of the little one (shraddha) how much she would have suffered 💔💔💔 since I was in that situation, I know how much would've been painful to shraddha💔
I request only one thing from the staffs🙏🙏🙏
    We are the students
    We doesn't know everything
We are here to learn and experience
You as the staffs are here to teach and explain us
So don't be rude, don't show your angry towards us, Don't have vengance on us,
We don't expect you to treat like your children but treat us with humanity.
Because once spoken words cannot be taken back😢😢
Only one life❤ it's precious, so leave us & let us to live our life!❤

I've experienced a similar kinda trauma during my time in college. There were numerous issues with the infrastructure, management, and other aspects of the college. But I've discovered that if you ever make a mistake and get caught, they'll punish you poorly regardless of how small the mistake was, up until your very final day of college. They'll start to notice every single thing that you're doing with the help of their so called spy and will treat u like u committed a serious crime, they'll literally see u like you're the only notorious person walking around on earth... They'll literally make u feel weird about yourself, with their judging looks on you... I too had suicidal thoughts multiple times, I had no one beside me to talk about this at that time and went through alot alone... Such a terror experience it was.. Rip shraddha, I feel you😢💔
I hope one day our society will change🤞🏻

I have been extremely lucky to have had an opportunity to leave India during my school life but my heart aches for everyone struggling in the system every day. I have had a terrible terrible experience in India, and I'm sure everyone had it worse than me. I have been physically abused, beaten so bad because of just suspicions of stealing teacher's possession, well, the guys in the entire classroom got called in and beat up individually with a massive ruler. In the end, it was in the teacher's handbag the whole time. Some were bleeding, some couldn't return to school for a few days. We never got any apology. Our parents encouraged teachers to beat us up if we misbehave, so none of us told our parents.
Besides, we get beat up for growing slightly long nails, haircut with lower number on the side, long hair, for improper uniform, lack of ID card, bad handwriting, not bringing homework, for getting rank any lower than 10. Man I ended up in depression that affected my whole life. I left India to study in a completely contrasting western education system.
In the west, phones are not allowed, but students can keep it switched off, teachers are not allowed to take it. In college, students are free to use their phones and laptops, even headphones with music, it is entirely up to students. As long as they don't make noise or distract others. Everyone is also sensible enough. If students have the drive, they will study hard and achieve, and if don't have the drive, then they won't be successful, teachers do not beat students. The punishments are simply shouting and detentions. I hope Indian schools/ colleges can be like this one day.

I too faced this kind of incident in college last year. It's the top ranked and famous women's college in Coimbatore (PSGRKCW).
When there was some changes in my marks, I asked for correction but class tutor and Hod was not ready to correct my marks and used some abuse words and even scolded my parents in front of my classmates.
Immediately I brought this issue to Principal. She understands and apologized and gave assurance that this incident will never take place in future and finally said it was confidential.
But the behavior of Hod continued the very next day and she also threatened us like "Unaku seat kuduthathae thappu & ne epdi degree vangura nu paatharen". Again I reported to Principal, secretary and dean of Student Affairs, but they said that hod is going to retire soon and she has some health issues. So, you get adjust with her and focus on your studies.
Soon my parents raised the complaint that how they can focus on studies when your staff behaves like this daily and so on.
They changed the issue on my side and closed the grievances by giving the reply in mail that your daughter has violated the rules and if this continues the severe action will be taken. We knew that, they will turn the issue on our side. So, one of my friends recorded all the conversations btw me & Hod in our classroom. Unfortunately we couldn't use that.
As there was no mistake from my side and me and my parents keep on asking about the violation of rules and false accusations but they used to ignore those mails and grievances.
The sad part is that no students from my class asked about this issue or tried to stop her. As hod used such abusive and colloquial words and yelled in front of my fellowmates. The staffs of whole Department behaved with full of vengeance by reducing my marks for unnecessary reasons, talking indirectly, marking absent when I was present. Classmates didn't kept good relation as they was before this incident.
The whole year was like hell. Me and my 2 friends was completely down and we're in the mentality that we don't want to continue our studies.
Though we had our parents support we completed our studies successfully last month.

This kind of torture starts from school , the level of physical and mental torture faced by barely 5-6 year olds in school is just unbearable. The same cunning attitude continues in college. Character assassination is the most used weapon to humiliate students. I KNOW A PRINCIPLE IN CHENNAI COLLEGE WHO STRAIGHT UP TOLD A GIRL TO DIE , IF SHE WANTS TO BRING MOBILE TO COLLEGE. I am from Sri Lanka and I just now finished my schooling. Many schools in here are treating children like trash and people are not even talking about about it. Parents encourage that kind of teaching. I don't know what kind of mentality they have. One incident that I can remember is I was going inside of the school with my friend and I don't know that there is a rule to not to walk with another fellow girl student with the school uniform. I don't know what kind of a mindset they have but the head of student discipline(btw he is a Buddhist monk) called us and blamed us for walking together into the school. We told that we don't know such rule and apologized for that but he started to use racist words on use just because we are Tamil and the school is only promoting Buddhism. I still can't forget that incident and also there were many incidents where he called only Tamil students to clean his room and all kind of the cleaning works. Some teachers treat us like shit, calling us using inappropriate words and blaming for even a minute mistake. I am glad that I cam out of that hell and I still feel pity for the ones that still study there. If someone can take action against these things it would be mentally good for many students.

I too faced humiliation in a school located in Nagercoil until 2007. My family was financially unstable, and the tuition fees and other expenses were very high. They used to post a list of students who hadn't paid their dues in every classroom and at the main entrance, humiliating us based on my caste. I was ill-treated, and although I asked my family to change my school, they never listened to me. These traumas led me to cut off contact with everyone from that school, and I haven't stayed in touch with any of my former classmates.
During my 7th grade, I participated in an essay competition and the social studies teacher said to the office assistant, "Why are you enrolling these caste people?" I know that particular teacher will not be successful in their career. If I were to meet her now, I would give her a tight slap. The school encouraged humiliation and casteism. The name of the school is Good She***d, Nagercoil.

However, I now feel compelled to speak up because the well-being of children today is crucial. If they encounter any form of abuse, they should report it to the police or relevant authorities. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and the immense torture I endured needs to be acknowledged.
In 2005, The correspondent, George, and his wife refused me from taking my 10th-grade exams, despite consistently scoring between 70% and 80% in monthly exams. They sent every staff member to obtain signatures to prevent me from writing the exams. Both my mother and I approached each staff member to plead for their signatures. The ideas used to pop up in their mind and what they asked me to do, i did. Sometimes they sent me out of school. On the other side, the correspondent's wife used to bow her head to the parents who are doctors, engineers, who had good money.
I managed to obtain a 76% score in the 10th grade. At that time, I had no understanding of suicide; otherwise, I might have considered it. The correspondent's wife, a SADIST, encouraged every staff member to torture me, although most of them didn't. They did the same to my brother.
I joined Indian polytechnic college and then Rajaas Engineering College. My teachers and friends observed me, they encouraged to me participate in competitions and I won a lot of ppt presentations, events. They are the reason what I'm today now. My friends always want me to write govt exams. But I had no interest in that. During college days, I had dreamt for 10K salary per month. But now I'm earning in lacs. Never get discouraged and no one have the rights to put you down. Not only schools, there are so called "IT organizations" as well in nagercoil doing the same.

Madan, you are 100% correct. You made a very good analysis and presentation in this video. It is true that students get highly depressed when their phone gets confiscated by college management and when some disciplinary action is carried out by the college management on the phone issue. I know some youngsters (boys) who couldn't focus on studies after their phone got confiscated and then they had to go through counselling sessions. Students also should understand that they could talk to their parents about anything these days. Parents will surely help their children by giving moral support and get their phone back to them. College doesn't have any right to take possession of another person's property including the phone.

I tried taking him for counseling etc but he only became more and more angry, shut himself up and stopped sharing any of his thoughts/ feelings with me. Everybody keep rushing to sit comfortably and travel, in the same way me and my friend was rushing to catch bus and sit. We unknowingly pushed one professor who was also rushing to catch same bus. She asked us to which department we belong. We just informed and sat. Next day, Our department professor called to staff room and asked us about yesterday incident. Though we explained, she asked us to give apology letter to her. My friend abide by saying yes as she was afraid. I strongly said cannot, as it is public place and we are not aware that she is a Professor. As I was strong, the Professor told us that this will be 1st warning, if happened next time will be punished severely. I literally waited for half a day after college finishes, begging for my ID card before the staff room when my phone was confiscated and they didn't even respond and respect me. They just treated me as an accused. I can't even imagine that situation right now, that much I've been mentally affected. We had the very strict HOD with zero friendly nature and she thinks that student will respect her only if she has a very high attitude. And the teachers and hod of my department make fun of us by making us to beg and cry for ID card when our mobile phone was confiscated. Even if we have exams, they don't give ID cards, we have to get bonafide certificate. And for attendance we have to run after every break, we can't even sit and eat peacefully. I didn't expect that my college life would be this worst because of my department.

This happens in most of the colleges and doesn't just come out. Even in my college, if students laugh loudly in the buildings, come late to class or any reason ID card revolves all around the college and ends in HOD'S hand only. Some staffs do these while some just warn and some ignore. Then we have to beg, cry and so on. I don't think these are big mistakes. Even if they do these stuffs, students will repeat the same. Staffs have to be strict but that also has an extent. Most of the colleges try to close and save the reputation by blaming the students when it ends in suicide cases/murders.
@ students if ur under stress instead of taking ur life talk to ur parents. Don't be afraid of them. They will be the only souls standing beside you irrespective of any issues and support. Some parents can be weird(rare) and if that's the case then talk to frnds or someone that you trust and let it out but parents should be the 1st to know or siblings. If ur mistake accept and try to be a better person or if its someones mistake live alive and fight for your justice. Pls eliminate suicide as a solution. Be gratitude enough that u have a chance to live because many innocent lives are taken away in natural accidents or intensional.

While I was in MBA, I experienced the same thing when one of the staff took my mobile from my bag and gave it to the HOD, so I went to the HOD's office and told him I was traveling from the AP Board, which was a three-hour journey for me. He said I had given all my mobile phones to the principal. After that, I went to the Principal's office. Similarly, I told him, since my parents don't have an issue providing me with a mobile, why should you care if I have one? I didn't use my mobile in class, and I asked him without my permission who gave authority to our staff to touch student bags if I used my mobile in class. When he asked me to bring my parents, I told him it wouldn't work because they couldn't travel three hours up and three hours down. I will bring my parents' letter if they want, and I will overwrite in the letter that we have no problem with my daughter carrying a phone. After I got home, I told my family everything that happened in college. The next morning, I went to the Principle's room and took my fro. Mobile from his table. Some people create unnecessary things to prove themselves.

OK bro thank you so much
It's awesome to hear your calcification of this sad incident... thank you
Now I want to tell you about what is happening in one of my school where I did work in Sri Lanka and because I'm also from Sri Lanka
I don't want to tell that's school name but it was a truth..
It's a bilingual abjects school.. there are more than 900 students studying on in separation of girls and boys abroad
Meeting of staffs are alot and happens alot till it makes us into intention that ah! Wow it will happen by this meeting very well... because lot of time spending waste at the moment while there are more important events they we want to implement between themselves better than what we are discussing in this kind of shot meetings...
Every single meeting happens with no update.. by whoever arranges us to that..
No proper time schedule for running it on better way
Management calls or regards about parents to us as they are only our CUSTOMERS and director also says like that...
No proper care of staffs they come school to dedicate themselves along with students...
Whatever a small mistake happened by a staff, then the Holy Management cuts the time of school and arranges a immediate meeting for what?? Only for cheat that staff in front of all other staffs describing he like this and like that as there are one big powerful time bomb blasted in the school.. oh my god oh my god... this is not only a one or two times..
    Every year its like that..
No rest there to students... because time of classes there are approximately around 18 hours... haha... They Don't understand how to make them relax of mind of students to playing or doing some funs etc..
The Holy Management touches they hands in the staffs salaries, acting unaware of the staffs worries and salaries also aren't enough for themselves...
Students now are not interested to improve their skills and studies especially in studying with seeking happily...
Staffs leave from school and students leave... the suffering is that land is so bigger, all kind of statements there have to improve the opportunity of developing the skills.. but the Holy management are only taking the political actions how to collect monies for their customers... I meant parents..
Appreciations are so so low through staffs by management... so staffs are like that and students are on a way.. but fee rate is so huge

    2) She commited suïcide
    3) the clg management did hot harass or beat her, they just took her phone
    4. Just because she is famous, why is this a big issue? So many students are committing suicide. Why is this alone a issue?

I felt the same emotion, when I came out from HOD'S cabin for a issue which was pointless. The way they saw me made me feel bad. I feared seeing the world. Went back to hostel, spoke with my mom and sister about this, they asked me to come home. So I went to hostel wadern to ask permission, she enquired why I'm going to home in the weekday. I narrated the whole incident, without any delay she made a call to principal and also women's wing. The nxt day HOD and my adviser spoke with me and my parents and they assured that this will not happen again and the person who did this will be expelled. They did the same as they said. This incident took place when I enter 2nd yr of my clg. The first wk after clg reopened. But after this I got a bad image, it took almost 1 yr for my classmates to understand my situation.

This story reminded me of my college days where teachers/HOD used to harass students for silly and small things.Students felt the college was like a jail. College should be like a college not a jail.
One student was laughing loud in class, teacher snatched his ID card and told him to collect his ID Card from HOD room by calling his parents. College is in Chennai and his parents stayed in Nagercoil (South Tamil Nadu). So he called his parents from Nagercoil to Chennai to receive his ID Card.

A college in Chennai is also great for these f rules. Fortunately i have passed out this year and really thank covid for 2 years of my college life. An incident took place where a boy brought a hide and seek biscuit to college and a faculty saw that. Then he was sent to HOD cabin and wrote a letter to the Hod stating that he did a very big mistake and also got sign from HOD. Also, nowdays many colleges in Chennai have a rule of boys not talking with girls and they seriously follow it to an extent where in my college if my HOD sees a staff who is free, he will ask him to stand in the corridor so that the interaction between boys and girls can be avoided even when they get out of class and go to break or lunch. Yes there are some boys eho misbehave or verbally abuse girls but for that you can't put a rule that nobody shoukd even think of talking. If it is like this after completing your ug. You might have to work in a company where your team might have girls at that time it will be difficult for boys to interact with them and also make some serious mistakes which can cause trouble. This comment will not be enough if i start saying all my experiences😂😂. Happy that i have completed my bachelor's in such a super strict college by just attending 4 semesters. Also seeing a downtrend of incoming applicants due to lots of awarness and their funny rules.

Every college should start a mental help structure where the students can go and talk about anything they are being bothered about and in fact the kids should be granted with mental help facility or holiday or any maximum possible help from the authorities .. or Atlest inform the parents or any trusted guardian of the kid or any adult whom the kid wishes to be talking to .. at the same time even parents need to understand the students and not pressurise them and create a fear ..

Bullying and harrasment by girls students in my class..Boys in my class were good to atleast trying to stop that happening to me..i was separated from my friends in sec A and sent to sec B when i went to 11th, there i experienced such Bullying because they didnt include me in their clique group.... i suddenly started to fail in all subjects.. Teachers didn't ask me whats the problem, instead scolded me badly.. other side i was experiencing harassment.. i cried and told my parents i will not go to school..They didn't accept but also didn't ask me what happened.. they scolded me why i failed in all subjects.. I am a 75% mark scoring student till 10th.. in ug and pg too i am a good student, scored 80%.. I had sucide thoughts in my 11th and 12th.. I was asked to bring my parents and they were humiliated by the college management. But I got past it. The same thing happened to one of my junior, guess what she is no longer with us. This behaviour of this college still continues till date and so many students are mentally harrased in the college. And this college is among the top private colleges in tamilnadu, I'm not mentioning the name cuz I don't want to get into any trouble , just mentioning this here cuz I really hope someone reads this and it maybe some new rule will be implemented so that this doesn't happen again to anyone. I also faced a similar issue in my school,i am a below average student in one particular subject & the teacher of that subject don't like me , started to Target me by mocking, scolding & later it became a habit of him to treat me like shit and one day i broke down and raised my voice at him for the first time in 2 years & it hurt his ego ,some teachers who saw this adviced me that you should not raise your voice as he is scolding you for your goodness only & told me its your fault & finally i complaint to my parents about it. Next day my father came to speak to the teacher who targets me ,guess what he spoke to my father rudely & told him your daughter is useless, waste but my father didn't react as he was concerned about my internals in 12th & the staff gave me homework to improve my studies, next day when i submitted my note to him he scolded me you didn't do the homework which chapter i gave instead you done another abd he scolded me very badly which made me think of ending my life 😞 & it made a huge scar in my heart I still get trauma when i think abt it💔.And finally the 12th came to end i wrote the particular subject exam & scored 80% i cried in happiness 😊. Now I'm going to join clg but I'm scared of teachers like him & past repeating itself 😢..
So i request any teachers who is seeing this to treat students properly with humanity & students are not expecting you to treat us like your kid 🙏 .
