This boat is going to be so much better than all the originals! they should sponsor this series dam. you are always taking it to the next level. very inspirational thank you!!!!
cutting that access panel worked out well, im thinking someone could install the console on hinges to be able to lift it upward to access all the electronics underneath
I appreciate all that you do to help us do stuff to our boats. I recently received a 1980 Grumman 4.6 boat in terrible shape. I am going to have to gut it and start at ground 0. Do you have any knowledge of this boat or some advise?
A great thing to do instead of carving out paint is taking nail polish and filling the crevases. You let it dry and you can wipe off the excess with acetone nail polish remover. I use it on my guns to make lettering pop more. TH-cam is full of tutorials of it. Just look up gun color fill.
Have you ever considered using the breaker panels? From experience its alot easier to reset a breaker instead of replacing those blade fuses especially on the water in a boat that's moving
Mike? Are you running separate 6 ga wires (one to the console, one to the trolling motor)? Or do you hook the trolling motor cable up to the bus bar at the console?
How did you make the console I have a 17ft. Tracker that I’m trying to refinish, like the ones on Tiny Boat Nation videos, but I’m stuck on the console rebuilt. My boat looks the same as this one.
want to replace a 1981 Bass Tracker III fuse block panel to something more "updated" can someone recommend what type of marine grade fuse block panel that I can use.
Michael Lopez that’s what I was going to suggest, we also use inter tube and cut it up and make them out of it, great job you are doing on the boat! Doing a amazing job!
@@TinyBoatNation crazy. I built everything with .067 and it flexes like crazy. I went back and strengthened with 1/4 and I'm still not 100% confident im not gonna put my foot through a hatch. I should have used 3/4 marine ply. 1/2 doesn't feel thick enough. Great video! Keep it up.
@@TinyBoatNation I ment do the same thing you did but on the side of the console so it would be more prone to shed water that hold water laying flat plus would have put it facing in and not so close to the side where it could get splash while running
I also raised my steering console 8 inches.. and moved it back now I have the rear seats on each side of the rear livewell.. this boat is just like mine.. love the work your doing just wish mine was coming along as fast I started late fall early winter.
It was hard watching you cut up the dash like that. I'd have opted for another layout, but if this was a concession due to time/budget constraints, then I can't begrudge you too much. Just not the best solution, IMO.
@@TinyBoatNation I'd have likely gone with a spot closer to the battery for the switch itself, and maybe built a swinging panel mounted to the underside of the dash for the terminal/fuse block. 2 parts max, with some simple mechanism to keep it out of the way until needed. I don't mean to sound critical - without being there and knowing the exact dimensions of everything, it's easy to play armchair QB and pick on things. I said it previously - this build shares more commonality with my own experiences than most. Really looking forward to what you deliver in the end, and I know that it'll be 1000x better than what was there previously.
@@TinyBoatNation That's a fair point - it definitely looked to be a bit cramped down there. For what it's worth, the paint job, carbon fiber panel and refurb'd switch panel made it look pretty nice. I know this one has been challenging in ways you probably didn't anticipate. I'm one of many sending good vibes your way. Appreciative of all that you do.

In the process of restoring my own 87' BassTracker. this entire series has been very helpful but especially this video. Thanks!
This is my favorite build from you yet, can't wait to see her all done!

Wow, looking great, looking forward to the final product!
Awesome build as always bro, I’m taking notes for my boat.
Man I love this boat build!
Thanks for sharing this info Michael! I'm in the process of working through my build and wiring is my biggest fear!
Perfection to last forever is good if you were 25, but a 73 just make it good thanks so much
Great job ! Looking GOOD !
Great info. Thank you, Michael!
Nice work mike!
Looking better and better! 😃👍🇺🇸🙏👏👍🇺🇸🙏😄

What happens if you blow that Atwood 50 amp circuit breaker? Can you reset it?
Great video, thanks. Are you going to install any gages? I thought they might be at that console.

Love it man I totally need one of those bass tracker top plates where can I get one
Following along with my tracker build step by step. I will post pictures, in the decking stage now.
@@TinyBoatNation Hey did u build that console?. I have an old 84 tracker and the console is hammered.. Also are those tracker emblems new?

Hello! I have a 20 feet boat whit a 200hp motor, i go rewiring full ! What size of clable i need?
I can find anything on replacing the console for my 85 tracker
Where did you get the carbon fiber panel on the console?

Quite the project, but it's looking good!
Sea deck a boat stuff is awesome
@@TinyBoatNation xpress is doing it to some there boats but u make some nice stuff ill just leave my boat bare i hate carpet
Is the carbon fiber plate going to be water sealed? You don’t water going under the plate right where the fuse block is

What thickness alluminum are you using for the frame?

what happened to the facebook group???

Butt connectors are garbage! Always solder the wires.
Use the low heat soldering but connectors.
