That’s the same process I use!! I kind of “made it up”, there are not lots of tutorials out there!! 🥰 thank you for letting me know I’m doing it right 🤭✨
Disposable shot glasses make a cheap mixing pot & because they are so small you won’t have a problem with the resin spreading. Also they are normally available in the likes of £/$ stores so easy to get. Good tutorial ❤️❤️👏👏🇬🇧
This is such an informative video. Thank you. :) I am still trying to figure out if I want to do acrylics or UV resin, but I love the fact that it cures quickly, so if you do a lot of layers, it doesn't take forever to do and I like that it's so clean looking after. I bet this way of doing eyes would also hold up better in the wash.
Thank you so much! 😊 that’s why I prefer resin because it doesn’t take a long time to dry between layers and I can be sure that everything’s properly cured and not risk it getting damaged. It does hold up better 🫣😂 I accidentally dropped a plushie into a mop bucket, washed it and came out well. 🤭
Those eyes look very "thick". Do you find that they protrude out once placed on a stuffy? Would like to see a set placed on one of your projects for reference.
These are sinker style eyes so when you add them to your plushies, they are actually flush against face. You can see how they look on my IG @entre.tejidos.crochet
I haven’t done it, personally, but it can be done. 💛 I believe these eyes (the ones shown in the video) might not be “ideal” for their glossy finish on the front side; however, the regular black safety eyes and noses can be painted with resin.
@@TheJanamal87 happy to help! You could immediately after using it. Some soap and warm water could do the trick. Honestly, I just toss them after an eye painting session (I use one or two brushes per batch) because I’m forgetful 🤭. If I find an alternative, I’ll be sure to make an update video. 💕 Also, feel free to ask any questions! I’d be glad to help 💕
You’re welcome! For the glitter layers, 1 minute; for the painted resin layers, 2 minutes. I also go by “feel”, if they are still tacky, I’ll run them an extra minute.
@@entretejidoscrochet awesome! thanks so much for your reply! I want to start using this technique for my plushies but i was worried about making sure the safety eyes are secure!! Great video!

You should be wearing Ppe while using resin. Even uv resin.
Yes, thank you for mentioning it! There’s an update video coming in which I will share this and more info.

Or you can watch some of the shorts on my channel as well.
Do you ever paint on the outside of the eye?

This is so helpful! I have some dumb questions 😅 can you wash the brushes in water after using the resin or do you have to throw them away?

Thanks for the tutorial. How long did you run your UV lamp to cure the resin?
You’re welcome! For the glitter layers, 1 minute; for the painted resin layers, 2 minutes. I also go by “feel”, if they are still tacky, I’ll run them an extra minute.
Can you list the products that you use? I looked in the description box, but it’s empty.
Thank you so much for the reminder; the links are all there now.
Do you find that the resin messes with the backing at all?
Hmm, I haven’t had any issues with it. I do make sure the resin is completely non-tacky before using the eyes at all.

@@forgottentear17 oh amazing! Thank you!
do you sell the eyes? and were do you buy the base?
Yes, I do sell them; you can find them on my Etsy (linked in the description). The base I get it from Amazon.
@@entretejidoscrochet There is no description on the video. 🤔
@@ChrissyzCorner really? It’s showing up on my end. Let me know 💕
Too much talking. Just show us how
I’ve added Chapters to the video for everyone’s convenience.
Seriously. That could have been a 10 minute video, I had to fast forward 90% of the gabbering.

Some people like to have all of the information.
