IMP has better mid and high sound quality and the THX spaital is better than logitech. I also like the more detailed EQ adjustability on the blacksharks V2s.

@ClydeMcbride DOA - dead on arrival. Meaning it's irrelevant already at its launch. RTX voice - i would suggest doing a Google search on it. It's a standalone software by nvidia that eliminates background noise and does it really well. But because it's a software solution, it works on any microphone and shouldn't impact your buying decision.

yeah just a random cheap usb soundcard will make the sound as bad as onboard sound. in the end just like other good headsets, you need a proper amp or soundcard to drive it.
If you have the specific sound card for the v2 just lying about somehow then yeah but if it’s just a cheap one off of the internet then I’m guessing not

Hey man, really loved your review on this! I've been looking forward to upgrade my headset, Iam currently using the Corsair Hs60 pro. Now Iam in a serious confusion between the Razer blackshark V2 and the Corsair hs65 wired. My top most priority is sound/audio quality as I'll be mainly using it for media consumption tbh and yes also ocassional competitive gaming. only thing i worry about v2 x is its ear pad fake leather. that kind of fake leather...well....almost of them have only short life before it start peel off.
The upmost important quality in ANY headphone is sound quality and I think the only thing you mentioned was it's frequency response and spatial audio availability. You can do better dude. I wanna know how it sounds. On it's own, comparatively to each other, others within price range, ect. Does it sound dark, bright? Are there any mids?
John Fabulous Not at all John!! Had them now for a couple of weeks and I couldn’t be happier. There not over bassy like other RAZOR headsets, Crystal clear and easy on the ear! I recommend the v2x and not the V2, You won’t be disappointed 👍

I would say so, many reviews say that the black sharks are more comfortable and have better sound an mic quality. The black sharks are a bit more expensive but I would say they're worth it.

It works, I just plugged in my Sennheiser 558's into the razer soundcard and can use the THX. Side note: I'm so used to Razer Surround Pro software that i'm not sure if i like the THX Spatial better or not yet.
I've got Black Shark V2 to test in my PS4 PRO, because i have the Hyper X Cloud Flight , i could compare them, Hyper X is my favorite for music and PS4, The V2 is very poor sound when you plug in the controller, and the dongle doesn't boost or do anything on PS4, actually is better without the dongle on console. In my laptop it works great but the software almost 500MB for the whole thing, i can't just download the part of the sound/mic. Terrible. But is an amazing headphone FOR PC! I am using the Sound Blaster G3 with the V2 and so boring trying to find some good settings via smartphone app(Sound Blaster App + V2). While my Hyper X Cloud Flight just have a better sound in all platform, plug'n'play and comfortable AF. One of the best for PS4 PRO(HYPER X) Sorry for the big comments, but could be helpful. I'd like to buy razer stuff again, but their products start to brake just like nothing, for no reason. My blackwidow x, after a while not being used, stopped working many buttons, wich led to press continuously to have a letter. The kraken 7.1 headset started peeling like a damn snake itself for no reason, again. Heading to logitech 😓
so far this headset is giving me massive grief got a brand new replacment because the mic was faulty still haveing the same issue very bad mic quality i cannot seem to find a fix
You plug into your Xbox controller you probably have to have the stereo adapter for it though.... to get your chat to work and who even knows if that would work but you definitely get sound if you plugged it into your Xbox controller that's a given

The usb soundcard lowers the microphone quality on the V2. Not using it at all makes the microphones equal.
if you use splitter (put thee audio in thee usb card and the mic in the motherboard you get same like v2x

Sidetone. I've been missing that. Unfortunately, my Hyper X Cloud II does not support headset mic level on Windows for whatever reason.
