I got it for $340 from DLT trading. The price is high, but there really isn't a cheaper titanium button lock flipper made in the United States right now. The aluminum version of the Malibu is around $240 last I checked ,but the Titanium Malibu goes for $400 (and that's if you can find one)
I notice a tiny bit of wiggle in the button when closed. I wonder if it could be binding up with the button wiggling left to right. I’ll let you know if I notice any of the same issues
Ya I haven’t watched whole video yet but I will. Makes me wonder if my Malibu is still more reliable. Regardless I love my 0044 this far. Only had a day. No issues yet. I don’t beat in my knives a lot but I do fidget with them a lot. I’m gonna carry the hell outta my 0044 next month or so and will comment again if any issues. Thanks for the vid. I will be subscribing. I’m also left/ sort of ambidextrous.
My guess is they do washers on both sides of the bearing, so there's only ever wear on an easily replaceable or expendable part. Unless you sharpen away your blade, you should never groove it or the handles badly enough to throw off the tolerances. In the distant future, they might need to replace bearings, washers, stop pin, and the button if the interface is beat up. Pretty clever if that's their forethought.
Its from Orion knives. Like $5. And the applicator is from amazon. Reminds me to order another bottle, thanks. Here are links. Loctite www.orionknives.com/store/p/4co2hj4u0sij25cg96jmclp6kw2t33? / applicator : amzn.to/3C93ZGR
Oh they have the most affordable and good quality knife cases. $15. Holds 4 knives and fits a priority mail box perfectly if you send knives out or anything like that. I don’t have an affiliate link or anything, the owner David is a good guy. Goes by Blade Banter as well
I have experienced that inconsistent button stick (closed position) on cheap to very expensive knives and is the reason why I will never buy another button lock again.

The sound of it sounds awesome flipping
I've had 2 Vosteed Thunderbirds, and both of them would bind up just like your ZT is doing.
Might have to pick one of these up 😮
Thank you for the video, pretty insightful!
Reviewers are loving it. Weird problem you were having!
I love the knife, but for what its worth, I'm having the same problem. Thinking about disassembling it now...
Hey Lefty! long time fan. Great stuff. Question. What is the bit driver your using in the video?
I got it for $340 from DLT trading. The price is high, but there really isn't a cheaper titanium button lock flipper made in the United States right now. The aluminum version of the Malibu is around $240 last I checked ,but the Titanium Malibu goes for $400 (and that's if you can find one)
I notice a tiny bit of wiggle in the button when closed. I wonder if it could be binding up with the button wiggling left to right. I’ll let you know if I notice any of the same issues
Maybe the second spacers are meant to be taken out and put bigger bearings instead?
Ya I haven’t watched whole video yet but I will. Makes me wonder if my Malibu is still more reliable. Regardless I love my 0044 this far. Only had a day. No issues yet. I don’t beat in my knives a lot but I do fidget with them a lot. I’m gonna carry the hell outta my 0044 next month or so and will comment again if any issues. Thanks for the vid. Awesome! Thanks for the sub and support!

almost as many washers than a Medford :D
What threadlocker is that? I really like that applicator with the metal tip.

Just got mine today. It locked up 10 minutes later.
If it was a Benchmade it'd be $600
Shouldn’t the spring have flats on both ends? Maybe the one end was broke?
Nah usually they are like this. Idk why. Must be a reason
I have experienced that inconsistent button stick (closed position) on cheap to very expensive knives and is the reason why I will never buy another button lock again.
Schmutz nicht gut❤
Why they keep doing 4 washers.. should be called terrible tolerance.. not zero tolerance
It was designed that way. I don’t see how that has any correlation to the tolerances
