Never understood the hate for this movie. I remember watching it when I was like 6 and instantly being obsessed with it and I still am today as a 20 year old. The way it just makes me feel so empowered and gives me so much confidence is unmatched I feel like I could take on god himself and win.
One more thing, the soundtrack for this movie is TOP TIER you hear me TOP MF TIER.

This has to be the most unjustly maligned superhero movie ever made. There's no way in the world that a film as stylish, sexy, positive, creative and atmospheric as this one could ever deserve the negative reviews this movie received. The truth is, the film was judged and condemned by a network of outrageously insecure comic-book fanboys (who clearly felt extremely threatened by its depiction of such a sexy, empowered black woman) before it even had the chance to be fairly and impartially assessed on its own considerable merits. But it really doesn't matter what anyone has said about it, because almost everyone who puts aside their preconceived notions and watches it with an open mind comes to the same conclusion: The movie is actually super-entertaining and Halle Berry's Catwoman is unquestionably the hottest heroine of all! P.S. The music is great, too!

Why do you think they felt "threatened," let alone "extremely threatened?" Most comic book fans love Catwoman precisely because she's sexy and empowered-- and as for black (by the way, most comics fans aren't racist either), remember Eartha Kitt? No Cat-fan has a problem with her.
Their objection to the movie was that Patience was not Selina, and that was about it. Piffling, I know, but there it is.

I have a weird love for this movie. I dig the style, the music and Halle is fun and sexy.
You know, i been studying about "capoeira" (brazilian martial art) in pop culture, and i discover that Catwoman in the comics have master this martial art, it makes a lot of sense, sometimes folks tend to get confused about capoeira thinking is a dance, but actually is a martial art, and this fits perfectly with Catwoman theme, and in this movie, its a prime exemple of this depiction, she really fight with the stance and do a lot of capoeira moves.
When i realize this, i imediatly look in to this movie again! It's good, Halle Barry really pull off the style.

I didn't see all other Catwomans and in this movie has some weird looking scenes (personal opinion) and also it didnt have anything to do with catwoman story from comics, but i think this movie is in some wayes really original and for me Halle Berry is the best catwoman ever.

I thought it would've been cooler if this Catwoman meets Batman. But it would change her story.
She is not the same Catwoman from Batman.
She is in the same timeline though. In one of the scene’s, there is a easter egg where it shows cat woman from “Batman returns” in 1992. So not the same catwoman, yes. But this version is still in the time line.
