I'm from Trinidad, a very tropical country and I have almost all of these just behind my home. Would you believe it grows along an open drainage system? They're pretty costly in the shops but thank goodness I have an endless supply.
At 3: 11 right corner you just missed ceratopteris Cornuta or ( water sprite and I have seen people calling it Indian fern.. ) It is an amazing plant. Which doesn't need much maintenance..I know it must already be 2 years late but it might be good to check out that area for this plant..
I don't know about more about botany but to see some one giving information on Indian aquatic plant I was surprised n happy , in market there r so many foreign plant r present in tht indigenous plant too r there , where I can get tht plant I live in mumbai

2:52 hydrocotyle asiatica, i have seen exactly this kind of plant in one of my friend's garden, growing in dry soil. . Are they able to grow in dry soil or the one i have seen might be some other plant growing? Can u tell me how to identify this plant?
aqua adventure, how fast do marselia quadriflora grows(means how fast can they carpet the aquarium? ). I brought some of these, they were growing near a drain :P
