Hi Matt Greetings from Zagreb where I was visiting a friend for a three day weekend. Yesterday we caught a return train to Ljubljana, for a spot of sightseeing, and lunch….as you do in Europe. (The train from Croatia was pretty old and the “Aircon” was through open windows…Enough about me..) I admire you for your sense of adventure and your boundless energy. Once more, “where are all the people”? Everything seems so remote and quiet and isolated. What beautiful scenery. And so much history. There aren’t any signs that say you cannot climb those walls, why not. Just mind your head….I couldn’t resist adding that bit. My inner voice was screaming “don’t continue on that section of wall” Please don’t be encouraging mass tourism 😂..they don’t need encouraging. Up those steps you go…a good view it most certainly is… That’s enough for one week. Don’t ever stop what you are doing Cheers Zoltán
Hello Zoltán, I'm very good thank you, sounds like you have had a busy week with your travels. I've just seen some of your photos and videos on Instagram, greats shot! I must have missed them but am very impressed. Sounds like you had a wonderful time if those videos are anything to go by. What did you think of Ljubljana? I was there a while back and enjoyed my stay. I will try and keep these places quiet as you are right about the tourism - isn't it lovely to find a spot or two where there are very few people around. Where you only bump into the odd local now and again. Glad I was able to film this hike as I really enjoyed it and was of course blown away by those views at the end. All the best!

Wow! This castle had to be a very big one in the past. It seems the remains of the old walls covers a big area of the hill. From one side, it's great that they are left untouched as they are, to be able to feel somehow the past times, but from another side, it would be good to clean them a little from the bushes ans to make them a bit more secure for visitors. Anyway, the view from above was amazing! Thanks for the adventure. 🙏😊 ~Philip

I understand your point about cleaning them up a bit and perhaps making them more accessible, it's a tough one as I also like the raw untouched feel. Either way it's an incredible place and I'm thrilled I was able to share my adventure here on YT.

Hello Mariam, nice to hear from you, hope all is good? Hotel was certainly a great price and only about 15 minutes walk to the centre. I could have walked to Marko's Tower as well if I hadn't got a couple of other things to do on route. North Macedonia is stunning and it’s such ashame that most people can’t ignore the media and its lies and go venture to other countries away from the same old same old . TH-cam is full of ideas . Glad you got to the top and I’m also glad it’s untouched as in fences secure etc etc these places need to remain raw and in its natural beauty , hope your enjoying the states

It's one of the most affordable country's I've been to, along with Albania and Kosovo. Once you get out of the big city there's plenty of deals to be had. Glad I found this accommodation though, it had a great location for the city centre and the hike! I love seeing these type of places raw and unfiltered - it's a wonderful things really as there's so much history attached to it!
