Fearless is one of the best PF songs. Period.
The most underrated album by Pink Floyd, Along with Atom Heart Mother.
Now I'm kind of self conscious about my eleven in one screwdriver collection.
That was fun. Thanks
Meddle is my favourite album though it was the first i heard and i did see them in Stockholm 1971.
They are truly British the Pink Floyd and one can imagine them in the second world war flying bombers. They really show us baby boomers rebelling against the respectable middle classes. I notice how Mick Jagger adopted their manner of speaking. Terribly polite with notes of indolence. I was one of these people and their music was our national athem and their music was heightened with us all being stoned. And a lot of us freaked out on acid listening to the new sounds.
What I wouldn’t give to see one those 15 minute versions of Fat Old Sun live in 1970…
We’re with you, would’ve been epic.🎧
Another half a job documentary about Meddle. Worth watching for the section with Ron Geesin though.
Pink Floyd have " long Been " Of the greatest bands ever in terms of " Expanding There Musical Horizons " !! And both Atom Heart Mother and Meddle showcase there " Monumental Ability " In being able to do this !!! Both of these albums have tended to " live In The Shadows " Of there more successful work , but should in " No Way Be Overlooked " In my view !!!! From Adrian Browne 1965
Like obscured by clouds or meddle is like revolver or rubber soul obc and revolver
Nearly an hour long and they only talk about three of the six songs on the album.
None of the then-four surviving bandmates (*presuming Wright was still alive when this was produced) were available for original interviews? That's never a good sign of a professional documentary's quality and veracity!
Ahh, it is one of those review DVDs that has no members of Floyd being interviewed, but you will get the guy who once walked past Waters etc.
I’m more of a animals fan than either two of those
Poor man having the name Sutcliffe. Im sure he is not related to Peter!!!!
Meddle is the best PF album Dark is second and Wish is third
Wall what wall?
you're wrong. The Wall is their best album, best music, best lyrics and concept. best art too.
Meddle, Dard Side, Wish You Were Here were the best PF albums. I like ALL the PF albums but pre-Aninmals is the best Floyd stuff.
@@Albee213 nope, Animals and the Wall is PF's best work.
darkside is overrated as hell
XSM is right, The Wall is the peak of their work. and TDSOTM I rarely listen to, especially Money which got overplayed on the radio.
The Wall of course. Then The dark Side. Then Crazy Diamond stuff 😎
Not a great documentary about Meddle. An aweful lot of twaddle basically unrelated to the album. You want to know about the inspiration for Echoes? You want to know the instrumentation and experimenting that created this masterpiece? Don't look here! This guff is more about the interviewees than the musicians and the process. Poor effort there guys, I'll give you a D-.
This is where Roger Waters stepped in and made Pink Floyd the greatest band in the world. Without him everything they made is boring and pathetic. This is where the real Pink Floyd was born.
Rodger is always a nice part of PF but he left and there still great
Rodger is a Narcissist😢
Pink Floyd is the prime example of a band that was much more than the sum of its parts. Each member was a key component, and the synergy they had together prior to the success of DSOTM drove them to artistic heights that Roger's solo work certainly can't touch.
