I've been lucky enough to meet and see Senba perform several, times in Japan. I even interviewed him once when he was doing a tsugumi workshop in Setagaya. I specially remember a performance by Haniwa and one of the girls of Pink Lady, OMG that was simply monumental. Big kudos to the great and unfortunately late Raymond Larrett, the one who uploaded all these Haniwa All Stars clips many years ago. RIP Raymond.
this piece of music gave me a direct healing. imagination. lyricism. audacity. rhythmic and melodic vitality. a cycle of chords connected directly to my heart. thank you sensei senba. domo arrigato forever.
If I'm ever on life support and they're not sure whether to pull the plug, I want someone to play this song and if there's no blip on the E.E.G. they will know it's all over!
You can find it in Haniwachan’s album Hanashibari. It’s about a field day for animals. (Lyrics by Ogawa Mishio the singer herself, music by Kume Daisaku (here rearranged by Semba Kiyohiko of course).
That's actually Itakura Bun, guitarist from Chakra, who later often collaborated with Mishio Ogawa on different albums (including her solo albums from 90s!)

Pura belleza. Un deseo casi intolerable de abrazar a cada uno de los músicos y rendirme a los pies de esa cantante. Thanks, Raymond!
This is incredibly wonderful. I don't what she's singing about but it sounds like first love.

This is kind of like an orchestrated XTC song. So wonderful.

名曲!
How can I find the lyrics to this song? In Japanese? English? この歌の歌詞はどこで読める?

@@lawrencelry*Kanashibari and Ogawa is background vocals here.
なんちゅう「著しい」人達の集まりなんだろう
... and suddenly I rede Rushdie's The Glass Slippers, so warm and fuzzy this makes me.
does anyone know who the long hair guitar player is? Toshiki Kadomatsu?

That's my friend Bunchan!
コメント見ると、City Pop の続きとして聞いてる外人さんが多いみたいだ。これもCity POP のうちになるのかな。まあ、ジャンルはどうでもいい。どんどん聞いてくれ。
who is he!
who is the lead singer?
木元通子 ("Kimoto Michiko" is how it's romanized, I think. Found the kanji here: th-cam.com/video/cNjQdb5hQYo/w-d-xo.html )
Pretty sure it's Mishio Ogawa, Her solo albums are very good, and her work as Chakra's lead vocalist is excellent.
Amazon JP has this dvd and it is indeed Michiko Kimoto. This song was originally on the album Kanashibari by Haniwa-Chan
@@stevenostuni6266 Shes awesome but not the lead on this song. Shes in the backup vocals at the end.
@@captaintogawa9736 oops, my bad.
