that'll be about 3 hours wasted just on transport and waiting.... in that time the train can cover at least 1000km..... HSR can replace around 2 hours flight time distance....
Meanwhile in India, the railway (reel) minister posts videos of Vande Bharat trains whose average speed is also less, and Finance minister imposes taxes on Caramelized Popcorn

Obviously, you cannot tell the difference between a trial speed (on a dedicated short track) and an operating speed within existing rail networks in the cities/countryside.
For large countries, it may be suitable. Speed is not everything. Japan can completely build trains with speeds of over 350km/h. But putting them into operation is not economically efficient. The ticket price is not acceptable to everyone instead of using planes.
450kmh is slow compared to dodge challenger hellcat. Hellcat can outrun police. That train can't run anywhere from the police, they can follow the track.
