5:06 Such a supportive family! Your daughters are gorgeous! Just started watching your videos a month ago and this is me going all the way back to see your first videos, getting to know your journey, and seeing your fabulous family ❤ I love it!🥰
I love the ship picture. I grew up on the coast of Florida where Spanish gold is still found. I always dreamed of being a pirate way back then, sailing in ships, having freedom. Lol, not sure how I would have handled it as a woman, but it was a dream. Anyways, I love goodies like that.
I am hooked on your videos, and your hints and you are great to listen to and also watch. I sat down tonight to see what I was going to look at...and first thing I see after your beautiful daughter, is a SANTA that I have, exactly like the one you have mine was made at a pottery group by my Mom in 1979. I have seen another one , same exact mold, dated 1985.
I always love your videos. Thanks for sharing your years of experience. I used to sell a little on ebay and watching your videos make me want to start selling again. I always thrift but don't need a thing so selling would give me a good reason to get to go!
The tall ship and the moody depressed boy... too funny! Did they ever sell? You have such a great relationship with your daughters and you must have so much fun together. I love to bake too and always thought it would be fun to have a bakery or be a pastry chef. But I think sometimes it's better just to leave it for fun. You two could always add in some baking videos to your youtube channel. Those would be fun. Just so you know, Jolly Ranchers melt in the microwave and can be used for candy window panes. Then you can get battery operated lights and put inside so it lights up your gingerbread house and it looks so quaint.
I love all your videos, thank you so much for sharing all your wisdom and kindness. You did teach me a new word today that I had to look up of course. And that word was Schmutz. It’s from Yiddish orgin Which of course I then had to look up Yiddish LOL and it means grime, filth, dirt... Which I’m sure you already knew. Anyway thanks for sharing. Your daughter is beautiful by the way!! 🥰😉
Hey! I have an antiques booth and quirky artwork is what sells best for me! I like the moody blue boy, and I appreciate the dedication and time that went into the needlework clipper ship. I believe the same reason that you picked-up the creepy ash tray (and yes, I knew what it was...and yes I said creepy, but I most definitely would have picked him up too) is the same as why you picked up the two art pieces. STICK with your instincts!!! Put them in your new and upcoming booth!!! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!!!
on the clipper ship/tall ship - my mother made those with needle point and my father painted them so they could be very nostalgic for some and a lot of hard work goes into those, the green was probably due to the kit directions and the deep ocean sure is green to the eye - coming from Massachusetts (we used to watch the tall ships come into the harbor each year) !! I have my fathers paintings and my mothers needle points -- did you end up selling the ship?
What a nice thing that your daughter helps! She is stunning! I just love you and everything you do, you're so inspiring, I'd love to give up my boring job, sitting wasting away behind a computer, being scorned by a jerk daily... I see how hard you work, but I see how much fun it can be when you sell a high profit item
New sub. Love your channel...wish you had a cute little dog to add to the charm! I actually think the yarn ship would be nice in a sea side cabin. Could it be listed as folk art? Also you could always turn the ugly boy into an abstract painting or paint it solid and attach things to display such as dollies or something 3-D. Always a way to turn trash to cash!!! Thanks for such a nice informative video from you two beautiful ladies.
Your daughter is adorable. I have two daughters and we are very close too. So glad you are so close to your kids. That’s so important. Love your videos. So informative. You do a very good job presenting info. Thanks.
I absolutely LOVE your videos! I love how close you are with your daughters, I wish I had that kind of relationship with my mom. I wish you lots of continued success!
I'm happy I discovered your channel. You are a delight. It was lovely meeting two of your daughters through your videos. They take after their beautiful mom.
It's great that mom and daughter have such a fine relationship! I was one of those lucky offspring to have a fine relationship with my late parents...I'm an only "child"...and "spoiled"!!
Lisa is really beautiful. She has a lot going for her! Busy busy busy. You two are so fortunate to live so near each other. I wish my mom and I were closer but we had absolutely nothing in common. All she was interested in was her horses. :-( The picture of that boy cracked me up!
I'm a seller but also take pics and enter into spreadsheets for another bigger Ebay seller. She pays me $1 per item (6 pics per) and $1 for each line entered into the spreadsheet. We both work full time. She has a VA and he uses the spreadsheet to create the listings. I average $15-20 per hour
Great video Karen,I really enjoyed it. Love the what not to buy! I have bought things, got home and wondered why on earth would I buy this! Glad I am not the only one! Nice to meet your other daughter, she is a beautiful young lady!
Y’all are adorable!! I love LOVE your videos and to watch you interact with your daughters. Lots of great info in everyone that I’ve watched. I will be 60 on Friday and looking forward to retirement from my full time job at 65. From past experience I know one has to be extremely disciplined to make eBay lucrative. It’s been 9 years since I’ve listed on eBay or Etsy and now there are so many other selling platforms to delve into. Since I continue buying items for my near future #sidehustle, I definitely have death piles. The majority of mine are vintage hard goods and smalls. Thank you for your time and videos Karen! Rock on! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Karen, info.. prewar China is very light weight and highly collected as iron stone. Became fully in telling light weight China is not of value... you might be surprised at just how valued but hard to find this is. Primarily alot was destroyed between the 20s and 40s. I learned this from my grandmother being of German polish decent.
You two are so cute. To all the people having trouble with black items, I recommend the app “PicTapGo” with the filter Lights On and you can also up the contrast. Amazing how you can see the detail and still keep the black. Highly recommend
This was so good!! Loved it Karen and I really enjoyed learning more about Lisa's role in the business. You both do a great job and it's so nice you're enjoying it together!
Hi Karen! I was wondering about weekly goals, if you have time to answer or point me to which video I may have missed the info. If you don’t mind sharing 🙂 1. How many days per week you source. 2. How many items you like to get listed per week. Also would be fun to talk about daily routine Always excited to see your new uploads! Thank for sharing!
Hi. She made a video that talks about her daily routine. It's great! Video: Talk Time Answering your questions, episode 21. th-cam.com/video/vdZdVc8wsTo/w-d-xo.html
I would love to have the needlework ship. If you would let me know the price and including shipping. I would love to have this because I collect needlepoint of any type
Lisa and Melissa’s laughs are very similar! You make beautiful children! Loved watching this video while I listed some things myself. You inspire me to list more! Especially my death piles!
Just found your channel few days ago and been watching like crazy. You have very lovely daughters, it is awesome that you have a great relationship with them. My daughter works with me also, it is so much better that hiring someone else. Love your videos, i am just starting to sell on Ebay. Actually I went twice to Goodwill and all my stuff is still on my dunning room table, lol. I work full time and now i have a hurricane to worry about. So i am looking for motivation! lol
Fabulous video ... sometime soonish I am looking at getting a VA for the listing part and then eventually an employee to take the pictures and measurements but that is a ways off for that. You two were cracking me up over your baking thing lol :)
You, Lisa and Mellissa have such good relationships! Lisa’s laugh reminds me of Mellissa. I know you are so proud of your family. Good tutorial on hiring help to photograph and list - or to do other parts of your business that bog you down. Your ship needlework is crewel, it could very likely would sell. The aqua painting you could sell on Etsy as a base for ‘altered art’. Someone could buy it as a base to create fun, funky art. Price it inexpensively and it will sell.
OMG, the two of you are adorable together! You are blessed with beautiful daughters. I bought a coated canvas sakroots wallet from freshbloominclothing and love it. So unique. 😉
Also, paying by piece work (one criterion) is considered contract labor, so you do not have to take out taxes or get an EIN number. I will NEVER hire anyone but family again. I owned a brick and mortar store, and several of my employees just about stole me blind. One designer I had known for 40 years (since school). I was in denial about it at first, because it really hurt, then I became VERY ANGRY. Love your vids and energy.
I just found your channel and I am loving it !! I am an Ebay seller too, but I know I could not do it without my husband ( he is the shipping department;). Thank You for great advice.
I do the same for my weights with clothes when drafting items. Round up to next ounce plus 3 ounces. Always keeps you in the good with shipping. Hard goods are trickier, I agree. At least 6-8 ounces for packing materials. Awesome video. Great content. Thank you! 💜
I'm excited to see how your furniture business goes! My sweetheart & I flip furniture, too. It's fun, but the hot summers in Phoenix slow us down. The huge profit margins are worth it though. I love that you & your daughters have the same laugh! Love your entrepreneurial spirit!! I hope I can teach my kiddos to be their own bosses, too! 💖💖💖
Your daughter is beautiful. 💕So nice to see your wonderful relationship, with each other.💕 so enjoyed your stories about baking, so sweet.

Your daughter is beautiful, and I am glad you have a trusted employee!!

The shirt that you're wearing right now the top goes with the skirt exactly that you are going to show at the end they go together perfectly

I absolutely LOVE your videos! I love how close you are with your daughters, I wish I had that kind of relationship with my mom. I wish you lots of continued success!

👍👍 IS this the *favorite* daughter?! OR the other down in Florida? { *he he ... I kid* }
Madras isn't necessarily always patchwork. Madras fabric is made in India. I just found your videos and love watching.
I immediately saw the resemblance between Lisa and Mellissa not only physically but their laugh and inflections are so much alike! Lovely family!
You're blessed to be able to work w your lovely daughter!
Karen, info.. prewar China is very light weight and highly collected as iron stone. Another enjoyable video - really appreciate the dynamics with your daughters. Lisa, you did great!
I disagree, you’ve got it too, Lisa!! 😁
Loved seeing Mother and Daughter enjoying and laughing together! Your daughter is beautiful!
Gorgeous Mother & Daughter team!
You two are so cute. To all the people having trouble with black items, I recommend the app “PicTapGo” with the filter Lights On and you can also up the contrast. Amazing how you can see the detail and still keep the black. Highly recommend

Love this video , great tips. Lisa is such a doll ! Thank you for sharing. Barbara

You two are delightful! :) Wonderful Mom and Daughter ! I wan some pie now! :)
You can paint over the picture and reuse the canvas.
Bless you!! For thinking That I have time to paint, I Love You!! lol
I do that all the time.

The ship will surprise you!
It surprised me okay lol, its been listed for months, ( probably too high)

I used to own that madras plaid skirt! Lol
Also you could make him different and make him the faceless man and paint over his facial features or make him a c 19 era man and paint a mask n him.
The sad boy can be sold as a canvas that can be reused for a painting done by another artist
Could be a butter dish or for cheese. X
The Edme & Esyllte skirt is an Anthropologie brand.
yes, I think I mentioned this? lol I may have forgotten
Fabulous video ... sometime soonish I am looking at getting a VA for the listing part and then eventually an employee to take the pictures and measurements but that is a ways off for that. You two were cracking me up over your baking thing lol :)
The ship was a kit. I actually made that for my dad back in the day. Lol
Thanks for all of the ideas and information. You and your daughters are beautiful!
You guys are too funny! So cute remind me of me and my oldest:)
It’s fun watching you and your daughters. (Melissa) and now with Lisa. 👍😊 and as always, thank you for sharing your knowledge! 🌼
