We had the pleasure to see her live last night at a Disco Fever show at the St George theater in Staten Island NY. She is lovely and still sounds Fantastic. I was born in the Mid 70's and my mother only played disco, France Jolie was an important part of my childhood.
I Remember ths days, I ws Young also n felt In love with ths Song.in L.A. Great Times France Joli So Beautiful from Head to toes😍😘 n Gifted Voice, Love Her❤️
She had been a very extremely extraordinary during that time yes I know she looks older than 16 but that's neither here or there aside from that her vocals are extremely mature yep I'm going to consider her one of the Queen's of disco thank you so much for showing this puts a smile on my face and a song in my heart
Omg this is so amazing! Hello. Loved you guys!! Thanks for the wonderful songs and the show. You look fantastic.Sorry for you loss. Robbie was amazing.
I am so in love with France Joli, Come tome was a huge hit I think in many countries ( here in Mexico was a huge hit as well ) she is so beautiful and have a powerful voice! Thank you so much for share this amazing video with us, I am really happy and greatful to see this incredible video :D
@Cherrill Rae Hi Cherrill she was loved by all fans and friends I remember I was around 18 years old she was so famous in New York where I come from She was at all nightclubs in New York and surrounding cities of New York Wonderful happy times
@@cmcyates Yes you are right, she is from Montréal. I suppose she is living in the States now, cause she ´s often there. Love from the south of France ! and thanks for this wonderful show 💖
I have seen some The Raes invited artits. And its so strange AND SO PROFESSIONAL THAT they are not doing playback ! like any other show on that era. Congrats.. A llitle late. But congrats
If they ever make a movie about Ms.Joli.....they should cast Jennifer Lawrence! They bare a striking resemblance to one another!! We love Ms. Joli and her amazing talents. Very cool post. Thanks.
I spent my summers in Toronto in the late 70’s and early 80’s, my aunt ran Centre Island amusement park. I had a crush on you and France! I’m 57 yrs old now and still feel the same😍
@@cmcyates I don't know how to share still photos on TH-cam yet, but, with your permission, I'd like to share a video, maybe to your website, if you have one.
I know that France Joli and Cherrill Rae recently performed together at the St. George Theatre on Staten Island a year or two ago. So they were reunited once again.
Yes you are right… And we are doing it again this year on April 27 same venue… I have worked with France a few times over the last few years and it’s always a pleasure!
Wonderful! I have seen France Joli perform many times at the disco concerts, but it would be a thrill to come and see you and your classic disco material. Thank you for the heads up! @@cmcyates
Ms. Rae, you are a good looking woman - a gorgeous older lady in a blue dress. Some things - like you - improve with age. Wish I had seen your show. You have a new subscriber from Hayden, Alabama. Take care during this pandemic. I look forward to more of your videos, sweetie.
What I understand in this video she was just beginning and it was observed that very shy and how she sings the song is a little different, the intrumentation of the song in very slow compared to other larger concerts.
Anybody know who the male singer was, the one who sang the "lonely man" verse? I begged for and got this album for Christmas when I was in jr. high school. I LIVED for "Come To Me," literally could not get enough of it. And today it is one of my go-to's when I just want to feel some extra "happy." Thanks for this video! (btw, I still listen to "Little Lovin'" all the time, too!)
Wow, this is an amazing version, great arragments, excellent vocal performance, at the end of the song she siings a G6 note, it´s too high and very hard to sing. I have never seen this, in fact I´ve never listen to France on a live show when she was a young girl, only lipssynching. I´ve listened to her singing live only on recent shows, I´ve seen two videos on You Tube when France was a young girl, and she was in a pool, and then in a disco and she was singing Don´t Stop Dancing, and Don´t Let Go, it was kinda a home recording. In 1979 I was 13, my favorite singers are France Joli, Olivia Newton John and Pat Benatar.
@@cmcyatesI still love her too and know she has many, many loyal fans. I just think she was poised to be a superstar in pop music and deserved much more fame and recognition than she received at that time. I didn’t mean at all to suggest that she wasn’t successful. She is just THAT awesome and talented and still is.
SHIT. That music in the background was an atrocious crappy re-make of the original music. That music sounds like music you would hear when a a contestant has been picked to come on down on the TV show The Price Is Right. France's voice was nice as always. But, the music. Naaa.

A huge treat! There's way too little video of France from those days. What a beauty and such a talent!
Love Disco, love the song remembering senior high school back in 79'
She was so pretty and with a great voice. No autotune. People actually had to be able to sing back then.

"In my arms I will keep you safe and warm." "I will shelter you from the storm." Those are powerful romantic lyrics.

The male vocal was sung by Tony Green, her producer and composer of their 1979 Top 40 hit.

Great clip and great performance. I just wish the band played the music truer to its recording and with fewer embellishments.
