Of all the Hunting and Game Shooting footage that's out there these days, I always come back to yours as the most accessible. Quality camera work and obvious love and connection to the Sport and the environment; really makes you feel like you're part of it.
Great Film, watching this and we all remember why we shoot! Probably the best TGS video yet, will there be some TGS Shoot days next season that we can book?
Yet another great video, Thank You. I want to give an even bigger thanks to who ever it is that shoots, edits and colour grades the vids. Whoever that is, they are doing a spectacular job. Cinematic quality colour grading on a little shooting video. Brilliant!
Jon. Outstanding !!! Direction, Production and Filming were 100%. Commentary and message - Said it all. This is the real spirit of shooting. (I feel really sad for those who 'don't get it'.) More power to your elbow matey! I get the Miroku thing. I have an AYA Yeoman, (along with a Browning and a Holland and Holland) which has been with me for over 25 years. You could not find a cheaper or more basic gun, but it is still my 'go to' when I need to rely 100% on the gun I'm using. Here's to next season.
The real reason why this is so much fun is that it raises the age-old instinct of banding together for a fight for survival. Someone, in this game, really dies. It raises the blood in you and makes you live intensely. No matter that the birds do not shoot back, they have wings that we don't have, and we had to work for centuries to develop the tools that make us reach to them where they live. Camaraderie benefit from the superiority of our means over an animal that has its own intelligence and instincts. Doing the same thing against clay birds is nowhere, nowhere, near the elation of fighting as a band of brothers to kill the enemy and reaping success. It's in the blood, it's all about blood. Someone has to die to make it worthwhile. Bloody good sport!
What a great vlog to sign it off with. As you said its about making memories with your extended family. Loved the transport and just the compilation of your day. You can't buy some things, only be lucky enough to experience them.
bang....thump.........bang bang....thump...... love it, next season seems such a long way away. Great vids that really capture the essence of game shooting , keep it!
What id give to do that....only done rough game shooting, never a proper driven day, when im a bit older hopefully. Great video and excellent filming and photography.
I really am envious of the estates that you have to choose from. We have good hunting here in the US. Although we do have commercial hunts, they don’t come anywhere near the amazing level that yours do. So I will continue to live my English sporting life through you and your amazing videos. Watching Johnny is like being in the field with my friends.
I'd say it's a good show of fortitude to bring an autoloader to one of these get togethers. ;-) Jonny - I was holding my breath to see whether you'd set one off from flat on your back. Your shoulder wouldn't have enjoyed that!
Some interesting differences in game shooting in Canada vs the UK. First, any Alcohol consumption during a shooting session is not on. Not judging at all, just differences. Also, we tend to push our own game as opposed to taking a stand. It is also less of a social event. That I am not as happy about. I would love to see game shooting as more of a social sport. Also, I saw your video on lead shot bans. We have a ban on lead shot for migratory foul fr a while now. So the solution from one perspective is this. Shoot lead in practice, Shoot tungsten for waterfowl. It actually mimics lead very well and is even better for the long birds.
Never mind an semi automatic on beater`s day with only two in I reckon it`s alright.I once saw a bloke shooting a bolt action Mossberg with one of those dial a choke muzzle flash reducers,it looked like aThompson machine gun.
I’m really enjoying your channel - thank-you. I’m also looking to get a cartridge bag for hunting. What is the best size cartridge bag do you suggest to carry on a hunt? (100, 150 etc.)
Loved seeing a semi automatic on the beat! Another great video i seen you ant and dave at the British shooting show but didn’t have the cojones to say hello 😂

NIIIICE VIDEO!!!! Im an American Hunter, but its so refreshing to see hunts in other countries!!!! Very satisfying vid!!!!!!

Looking forward to next season!! Jonny perfectly said on why we hunt!
Cant wait to have you back out Mr V
Nice to finally see the Miroku getting some use (and screen time!). Looks like a good day. What you need now is a preparation and cooking video!
we are working on a cooking series currently.
Agree
''but it does involve killing animals... but luckily I'm not a vegan'' best TGS quote right there
Excellent video, made you feel like you were actually there.
I miss days like this so much.

Awesome way to end the season for sure. Looking forward to next season. In the mean time, lots of clay shooting and maybe a turkey or two. 😉
Was a great day Dan, just a week too early! Lets make it a good summer, although tempted to save the turkey ££ to put towards an Elk adventure...?

Vegan for a week. Don't get pulled over to the dark side. The force is strong with this one.

The best
Keep up the good work , Jonny what’s your length of pull gun stock wise I’m 6,1 and I’m looking at about 15 1/4

Jonny - I was holding my breath to see whether you'd set one off from flat on your back. Your shoulder wouldn't have enjoyed that!
Cracking video! Never seen An auto shotgun on a pheasant shoot!
That's what I thought get 3 shots though I guess but have to go and pick up the shells that have been ejected to the other side of the field😂
TheCornishFarmer 3 shots or not, I still don’t think that my local shoot would approve if I brought an auto along to a pheasant day!
@@jakec1724 mine wouldn't either neither does 1 of my local clay ground

This is so much fun! Beeters are better shots than these snobbish +100,000 £ SHOTGUNS!!! and the semi auto part is freaking amazing! Good job lads!

Jon, what leather boots you wearing?
thought id help you out so I bought the 3 quid membership

fantastic
is it me or have I missed the video of the TGS gun on the clays?

nice video jonny!
I just moved to Cornwall, need an extra pair of hands on the farm? ;)

The kind of camaraderie I am familiar with hence most enjoyable.Keeper obviously wanted the hens thinned out too then Jonny😈😂😇
😂 😂 they were all looking a bit peaky mate
@@tgsoutdoors Keeper's hats or the hens ? 😁. Looked a great day had by all especially the river dancing gun to your left on the last drive.😂
Great shoot lads even tho I don’t like semi autos on game shoots
What earplugs have you got in? Would you recommend them?
Custom Fit Guards - love them
I’m really enjoying your channel - thank-you.
I’m also looking to get a cartridge bag for hunting. What is the best size cartridge bag do you suggest to carry on a hunt? (100, 150 etc.)
For driven shooting, it depends on what days you shoot. For walked up, a 100 will be more than enough
@@tgsoutdoors Many thanks
Have you done a video on good quality leather cartridge bags? Any premium brands you would suggestion?

You should have come on over, would have loved to meet you.
Really fantastic video's, always look forward to them, what cap is Johnny wearing.
That one is a Laksen Cap
excellent film johnny, very good, just one question, how tall are you?you could almost see over that high fence.
6’7” mate
@@tgsoutdoors have you got that the right way round or do you mean 7'6" .
Cracking video Jonny always enjoy them . Met you Sunday in the hotel at the bss , how's your head now 🤣🤣
Solid 10 mate! That was a hard morning 😂
Nice to meet you all the same. Hope the show was successful for you and keep up the good work . All the best to your team 👍💪
A nice film that.
our pleasure
Great video, I enjoyed that. Makes me want to put a few dates in the diary, it’s been years since I’ve been on a shoot. Wife’s a veggie 🤦♂️
Just because the wife is, doesn’t mean you should give up your passions.
Another very enjoyable day by the look of it, would you ever consider filming a simulated game day? P. S The person with the semi auto is some shot.
We did one last year ‘550 cartridges in a day’ and have one booked at the end of this March to film as well.
Johnny's summary around 5 minutes in, is as good as any there is.
Are you going to review ur gun ????
The only distressing comment here is JC having to go vegan for a week? ;) How did that go I wonder?!
lasted 6 hours
