    If you want to take the train to Cinque Terre I recommend the train to Levanto from say Pisa. It’s a regional so slow but I really like to stay in Levanto. Not as crazy as the 5 towns and a nice hike over the hill to Monterosso al Mare, the northernmost town of theCinque Terra, or if like me you’re a bit old for the hike there is a train that will then take you to all 5 of the villages of the Cinque Terra.

      Yes Levanto is a great option and a very pretty town

    Thank you thank you for you both. i am seeing that bus and train from Florence to La Spezie (going to Cinque terre) is just a few a minute difference and of course bus is much cheaper by half. Departing stations noted not from SMN in Firenze and not in centralle at La Spezie. Will you recommend taking the bus?

    Thank you for the info . Do you guys recommend to buy the Eurail train pass or buy them as you go ? How about reservations seats how that works ?

    • @TravelAddictsLife
      @TravelAddictsLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Eurail is not as convenient as it used to be. Seat selection is available on high speed trains

    I recently discovered your channel. I’m so thankful. I’m traveling to Italy partly on a Mediterranean cruise and day before and after the cruise in Rome.
    Question: Is it doable to go on our own to Florence and Pisa from La Spezia Cruise Port on a 12 hour stop ? Pls advise. Thanks.

    Thank you, gentlemen, we're going to Sardinia and Sicily for 3 weeks in August. We're flying into Rome. Do you think it's better to fly from Rome to Palermo, and rent a car to drive East to the highlights to Catania? Then we can take the bus or train to Cefalu, back to Palermo? Please advise. Thank you

    In Italy are there places where you can get coin change? Travelling in England and France I found it very difficult to get coins for vending machines and toilets.

    Once again, great tips. I am going to look into Wise. We sometimes do use ATM's towards the end of the trip. Also, we purchased a TIM portable Wifi. We carry it with us and recharge the sim after 30 days. We get 70gb for 10 euro, great deal. Thanks again.

    This is a paid promotion for wise

      And Wise only allows 2 free withdrawals per month for UP to $100 US. Then 2% per transaction. Expensive.

      I think I read that they charge you interest when you take out money with your credit card from the moment it's withdrawn. Does anyone else have experience with that?

    • @TravelAddictsLife
      @TravelAddictsLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jend7618 That is correct. You usually charged a cash advance fee. That is why you should use your debit card.
