Hi, Mahy Nasserrr! I was watching this video and came across your comment! If you're interested in learning more about law school, law firms, or being a lawyer in general, I make videos on all of that stuff -- including videos on how to study in law school and how to take law school exams -- so feel free to come check them out! :) Angela

Super helpful! I had no idea this was available to lawyers. Now I see why History majors go into law. I am so fascinated.

Thank you for your videos, Lynnea! Question for you: I want to get into the law librarianship field and am curious about what interactions you've had, if any, with law librarians. What do you value in them? What do wish they knew how to do or research? I don't have a JD, but I do have an MA in history and an MLIS. Any advice is appreciated!

I would like to know if anyone has ever used precedent set by THEIR OWN previous trial in an appeals case. Or if that is legal. Ie. If someone has won a case and it is under appeal, are they legally allowed to cite their own win on the case as precedent to upholding the victory in an appeal.

How can you compare your case to others if you don’t have internet an have to use books.

I'm one of the law students at a university in Indonesia, I hope you can visit Indonesia someday, may be able to share or to research the diversity of the legal system in this country 👌

How can someone prove whether a case is still good law? If it’s only being mentioned in future cases and was only considered in one future case. The indication in west law is positive / neutral.

Second year US law student here...great video but what is “articleing?”

    • @savethsao7951

Hi! I don't know if you found the answer since you've posed this question six months ago, but articling is part of the licensing process for a lawyer in Canada. After graduating, you have two options: participate in a 10-month articling (training) program or a law practice program (four months of further learning and another four months of legal placement). Law graduates can complete an article at the Ministry of Attorney General (crown prosecutor), Provincial Legal Aid (Canada's version of the public defender's office), at a private firm, at the federal level, or at a non-governmental organization.

Hi! I've been following your channel and I love your content on law school tips and strategies! I'm a former law firm associate and recently started a TH-cam channel to help young lawyers navigate the worlds of law school and law firms, and wanted to see if you would be interested in collaborating on a video! Let me know if that sounds like something you would be down to do and we can get in touch! -Associate Tribe (i.e. Angela) :)
