Маленький мальчик, Иван Бессонов, в 12 лет играл первую часть партиты на экзамене в музыкальной школе. Он играл так, что было ощущение, будто играет сам Бах на клавксине. Его исполнение запало в душу, хоть он ещё и ребёнок. Чистое звучание и чистая энергия - это было лучшая партита!
I've listened to so many different interpretations of this partita. In the end I can only conclude that there are so may wonderful performances of mucisians who are so very dedicated giving their best. For me personally, looking back over the years, the way Murray Perahia interprets music, corresponds most with my heartbeat. Others are very close. Thanks to them all!
Perahia's Bach has become one of my all time favorites. I have his CD's on the French Suites.

Wow this recording and this music deserves as .any listeners as the first partita. Wow. The gigue/giga is weird and surprisingly original; maybe slower tempo would yield more justice to this wonder. He makes the ending sound so right.
I agree, I prefer a slower performance of the gigue. In Perahia's Sony recording he gives an extremely good performance at a more moderate tempo

One of those pieces, that it doesn't matter who is playing it. All I hear in my head is Gould.

I am so,so tired of the Gould cult. Wake up and listen!! This so, so much more interesting. Subtle and nuanced, polished. Gould's style is full of clumsy solipsistic idiosyncrasies, putting the emPHAsis on the wrong syLAble.
